“While viewers will see some very familiar faces at 6pm each night, ThreeNews will be fresh – with a new set, new look and feel, immersive and innovative visual storytelling and opportunities for our audience to engage and participate.”
Mhhm we see claims about innovative storytelling and audience engagement all the time but they often don’t last long, given it will be fronted by Sam I daresay the bulletin won’t be too different.
I’d be incredibly surprised if there is anything other than the 6pm bulletin. I’m sure there will be promos for 6pm, if that’s what you mean by updates? But nothing more substantial than that.
I’m talking about a pre recorded news updates at say 5.00pm / 5.30pm on what’s coming up on the 6.00pm news. And pre-recorded news updated during the evenings at say 8.00pm for example.
Not bad, a good USP with their “‘more reporters on the ground across the country” which may be true but majority of them wouldn’t be broadcast journos.
Also interesting they mention ThreeNow and then Tree, part of the stations ‘stream first’ strategy you’d have to think despite where audiences overwhelmingly still are for news content.
