Anyone just see the Theee News promo just now?
Little 15 second job. Very dark blue.
Yep that’s the one
Thanks for sharing, I missed it!
That background music sounds like a similar rendition to the old Three News theme prior to Newshub
Much prefer the Three News name compared to NewsHub but hate the spelling of Three as +Hr=ENews.
Can we compare?
Upon hearing it again (it had been a while), maybe not…
Thought the main portion on the promo end board had similar sounds to the old theme.
I like it so far, it definitely sounds like they have taken inspiration from the 3news theme music albeit with a re-doing of it. That blue purple is a bit dark, but see how it goes on saturday.
Question, will all the newshub social media pages be renamed as Three News?
Very slick promo. Really like the logo animation at the end but the branding is very plain compared to what Newshub has (or had, if you’re reading this past Saturday).
Is it just me or does part of the animation look like the Warner Brothers logo?
highly likely that they use the stuff socials
No doubt they will leverage the Three News content across Stuff social pages, but I would have thought Newhub socials will just become Three News from next weekend.
I was gonna say the same but Stuff post very little to Youtube and nothing to FB or X at the moment so I don’t like our chances…
Missed the open goal to say “the Stuff that you care about” instead…
think there’s a concerted effort to play down the Stuff connection - at least to start with.
Yes, this arrangement seems to have more WBD involvement than what I would have thought when they decided to wipe their hands of news production. I initially thought Stuff were pretty much renting the slot on Three and providing their own product as they saw fit, will be interesting the see the bulletin on Saturday to see how far the branding goes.
