The X Factor

Who are the remaining judges going to be, any word on the new host?

Looks like they’re releasing that info week by week to keep the interest going.

“Interest”

Those that may be still interested, obviously.

Next judge to be announced tomorrow… my tip is Adam Lambert

But he’s only been solo not in a group

Adam has performed with Queen in recent years while also continuing his solo career.

Zayn Malik :stuck_out_tongue:

Confirmed via News Ltd as Adam Lambert.

Interestingly it is the “third and FINAL judge” - meaning changes to the categories (i am guessing girls, guys and groups with no age limits?) and less contestants. All solid moves I think to freshen up the format.

Certainly an interesting panel.

Really? Not really a special judging panel in my opinion. I find the panel very underwhelming.

Back to the beginning? When The X Factor started on Ten in 2005 the categories were 16-24s (Kate Ceberano), over 25s (John Reid) and groups (Mark Holden). Whichever it goes it will be interesting development.
News Corp also says Seven will soon announce a new host. Could it someone we haven’t heard of but who has presenting skills?

X Factor started on 10?

This judging panel gives me no interest in wanting to watch.

Yep, Daniel MacPherson hosted that season and I saw all of it.

AND then there were three. US singing star Adam Lambert has been named as the third and final judge for The X Factor in 2016.

Adam Lambert ready to rock The X Factor

Global star of stage and screen takes a seat alongside fellow judges Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian

American singer, songwriter, actor and Queen front man Adam Lambert has been secured as a judge on Channel Seven’s THE X FACTOR.

Adam is no stranger to success on Australian shores. Releasing a string of hit singles including his most recent Ghost Town, which achieved platinum status in Australia, he has toured globally both as a solo artist and as the lead singer with one the most iconic and revered bands of all time, Queen.

“I am very excited to join The X Factor in Australia as a judge and am looking forward to helping people shine their brightest,” says Adam. He added: “Australia has always been one of my favourite places to tour. The Aussies I’ve met are so kind and good humoured- so the thought of getting to LIVE in Sydney is very exciting.”

Channel Seven’s Director of Production, Brad Lyons says: “Adam is truly a world class artist, performing on some of the biggest stages in the world. He knows first-hand how hard that first break can be. His experience and passion will be invaluable for our contestants.”

Seems like a no frills version of X Factor this year. Less judges, less contestants, less weeks.

Good news all around.

The judging panel is awful. No real star power.

For me its a much better and more interesting panel than last year. I think younger viewers are more likely to tune in with this years panel than last year. Adam Lambert alone is a much better singer and performer than all of last years panel put together.

If what Iggy tweeted a couple of weeks ago (4 weeks in November) is correct, then maybe only six acts (two acts in each category) will make it to the live shows, with the top 3 making the grand final in week 4.

Possibly. I still think it will be stripped 4 nights a week. But who knows.

The budget has obviously been cut big time with the judges they have chosen,
