Probably when the first batch of “underdogs” are confirmed… so it won’t be until after the season has actually started
I just don’t like their music
I’m also not a big fan of the judges. I know Adam Lambert is quite good at what he does and I am sure he will provide good advice. Iggy I feel has no personality and I haven’t been a fan of Guy as a judge for quite some time - he was the reason I stopped watching the X Factor. With that said at least they have current judges that the audience should know of - except the 55+ audience.
New sneak peek aired tonight during Zumbo’s Just Desserts, also naming Holden as a sponsor. That means the carmaker is sponsoring both The X Factor and Australian Survivor at the same time.
According to a source, I believe they are filming the home visits right now.
Not juicy enough! Which stars have they roped in?
I noticed that Mel B was a guest judge on the UK X Factor episode that aired this week, she was a fill in for Nicole Sherzinger so even though she’s left the show there it seems like she’s pretty connected to the brand still.
When does this go to air? I’m assuming the week after next? Seven need to hurry up and get this on.
The underdog term refers to the contestants in the team. As in the ‘Underdog judge’ will get contestants that have been rejected by the other judges. It has nothing to do with the judge not being good enough or famous enough. Also in Australian reality shows the underdog often wins more often than not so I don’t see it as negative.
I think we all agree on Mel B and would much prefer Mauboy.
Maybe it will premiere after the AFL Grand Final? It looks like they are filming the home visits in the US.
Starts Monday 3rd October at 7:30pm.
That means the show will get saturated promotion during the AFL Grand Final week, and during the match itself.
Looking forward to the new season.
I wonder how many nights a week it will air? I thought adding an extra judge might extend the season out a bit but doesn’t look like it. It can only go for 7 or 8 weeks max to fit in ratings period. I’m assuming once it hits live shows they will have it a couple nights a week with performances and results in each show.
THE X FACTOR: NEXT GENERATION
Premieres Monday 3 October
Rap sensation IGGY AZALEA, Queen front-man ADAM LAMBERT and chart-topping singer/song writer GUY SEBASTIAN team up to find Australia’s next singing superstar in Channel Seven’s THE X FACTOR: NEXT GENERATION premiering Monday, October 3.
The upcoming seventh season of THE X FACTOR will witness a complete reimagining of the world’s most successful talent competition.
The three judges will build their categories unaware of the impending arrival of a fourth Underdog Judge who will lead a new category of contestants originally let go during the 3 Seat Challenge.
The Underdog Judge, one of the world’s biggest superstars, will not be content with second place. Nor will their contestants know they have been handed another, albeit final, chance of realising their dream.
This year, raw talent will be rewarded and refined like never before. With live experience in front of a studio audience and expert mentoring from the judges, contestants will be transformed into superstars.
Open to both solo performers and groups 14 years and over, once THE X FACTOR hopefuls make it past the audition process, the judges will initially split performers into three categories; Under 22, Over 22 and Groups.
The ultimate winner is awarded a recording contract with Sony Music Australia.
Hasn’t this already been happening? I am sick of seeing Iggy already.
Sounds like they know this will underperform and so going for a short trial run.
There was a clue last night saying number 1 single in 30 countries and 300 million albums sold world wide. Who do we think? Mariah Carey is the only one that comes to mind for me. I don’t think the Spice Girls got their song to number 1 in 30 countries did they?
I was thinking maybe Madonna???
Wishful thinking, but maybe it’s Psy
I don’t see why not. There are plenty of artists who have done that including one hit wonders.
Wannabe was #1 in 37 countries.
