The Voice

Also on the red books

“It’ll sort of just say like, what state they’re from. There’s no names, no gender or anything like that,” he said. “We never get told anything about who they are, we don’t get told the song.

“But if it’s a really random song, like one that’s some B-side Whitesnake or Radiohead or something that not everyone knows, we get told that so that we don’t think it’s an original.”

Tonights episode highlighted why I have enjoyed this season much more than the past number of seasons, the warm lovely bits far outweigh the sentimental stories.

As tragic as the scuba trip would definitely have been for the young girl, it had no real connection to her singing, but then that was followed up by a contestant that didn’t get any chairs turning around but they were supportive and had fun and a lot of heart with him; and this keeps me coming back after watching the first half an hour of the first episode this year out of curiosity waiting for Survivor to start.

With each judge allowed an unlimited number of contestants on his/her team this season, I notice they were more aggressive in pressing buttons and pitching for the contestants. So far this season, there was only one occasion where one judge turned the chair (Guy turning his chair during Baylie Carson’s performance).

Will Seven change the game and have the next season of The Voice ready to go by Feb next year?

I think The Voice is the answer to kill off Married at First Sight. Just like they have done with The Block.

Not sure what’s happened there  Which company owns the copyright to the show?
Episode 2:

Episode 7:

Looks like they might’ve changed the template based on the ITV Studios logo and not updated or changed the respective copyright owner.

The last three contestants didn’t really have a “back story” (aka “sob story”). They were shown, but not much air time, which is a shame.

This show is proving Jess is a megastar!

Really annoying that they keep going to ads in the middle of super emotional moments though.

Probably means all 3 will be cut tomorrow.

Tonight is both the final night of blind auditions and The Cut.

Hmmm not feeling The Cut.

Feel for the contestants who would usually have more opportunities.

I think it’s not a great idea for the judges to have unlimited number of contestants. Should be 10 maximum and then over two nights cut down to 5. This cut is far too dramatic.

I know the blind auditions are the ones that rate but I think they should’ve probably started ‘The Cut’ last night and spread it out over 2-3 episodes if they were to go from unlimited to 5.

There’s gotta be some second chances or wildcards coming right?!

There’s only 13 episodes in this series and we’re up to episode 9 tonight so I don’t think so.

Plus they have to follow all the COVID precautions.
I have a feeling that the LIVE SHOWS are pre-recorded. Just like last year.

Well that’s shit. This is rubbish.

Getting belted on socials too.

So we don’t see much of some contestants again. I know that the auditions are the drawcard episodes for The Voice, but we do like to see more of the contestants between auditions stage and the finals. The Cut probably should have been 2 or 3 episodes.

Around 50 contestants got “turned”, and only 20 go through to the next round.

Not a fan of the cut so far.

Another option would be to increase the number of contestants the judges can take into the ‘Knockout’ phase (say 7 - 10)

We already know they are. They didn’t want to risk the judges not bring able to return to Sydney so took precautions.

It has already been confirmed that the live shows were prerecorded by 7 due to COVID restrictions as well as being a money saving measure.
