It will air on 7 in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane. So they will have to air alternative programs in Sydney & Perth. I can see them showing just Monday & Tuesday during that week
I doubt Seven will show alternative programs in Sydney and Perth and rest The Voice for the night. Why will Seven give The Block free rein?
They’ll most likely do what they’ve done multiple times in the past, Voice on main channel and AFL on 7mate in Sydney, Brisbane & Perth, while AFL on main channel in Melbourne & Adelaide and Voice on an extra night instead, such as the Thursday.
Seven will show the Legends Game on Thursday August 28 so The Voice won’t be on that night. A possible date is Thursday August 21, with Essendon v Carlton exclusively on Fox Footy nationwide.
Brisbane will probably be main channel since the lions are playing
I think that Sunday 7 will show something like the 1% club repeat in Perth & Sydney (7mate in Adelaide, Brisbane & Melbourne) and then show the voice Monday & Tuesday - so just 2 episodes. I can’t see them showing the Voice on Sunday in just 2 states and then airing a special episode on Friday or something. Especially since there will be spoilers on who got a chair turn etc
The Voice doesn’t air Thursdays
Brands take centre stage for The Voice
New season premieres this Sunday at 7.00pm on Seven and 7plus
The new season of the Seven Network’s hit entertainment show, The Voice, premieres on Seven and 7plus this Sunday night, supported by a chorus of leading partners and sponsors.
Joining The Voice this year is Seven’s entertainment partner, Shark, alongside Google, Hayu and Collagen Co, with Woolworths and Open Universities Australia continuing their partnerships.
This year’s season is set to be the biggest yet, with international chart-topping artist Melanie C (aka Sporty Spice), GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx, multi-platinum selling hitmaker Ronan Keating and genre-defying singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke in the iconic red chairs.
Seven’s Network Director of Content, Unscripted, Majella Hay, said: “With a fantastic, fresh, new lineup of coaches in the big red chairs, Sonia Kruger returning as host and an incredible group of artists, this year’s season of The Voice will hit all the right notes with our viewers.”
7RED Head of Entertainment, Charlie Brown, said: “The Voice gives brands a powerful platform to connect through music, passion and emotion. In collaboration with our partners, we have crafted market-leading campaigns that embed brands at the heart of The Voice, playing an active role in the show’s storytelling.
“These campaigns are authentic, engaging and impactful, and highlight the genuine value these brands add to the lives of everyday Australians.”
Google Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Suzana Ristevski, said: “We look forward to collaborating with The Voice to highlight how live music can sound for people who are hard of hearing — and show that more’s possible when medical researchers join forces with Google AI to reimagine hearing aids and deliver clearer sound to more people.”
7RED Engine Director of Creative and Design Operations, James Falzon, said: “The 7RED Engine team is working with Google on a campaign which celebrates the importance of music and the power it has to move and inspire**.**
“Google’s partnership with The Voice brings to life how Google AI is helping people that wear hearing devices hear better in environments with background noise, and highlights the benefits of their research and product development.
“The 7RED Engine team has enjoyed working with Shark on a unique integrated campaign with The Voice coach, Kate Miller-Heidke,” he said.
“Together we’re delivering content that truly resonates with Australian audiences and embedding Shark’s products into the fabric of some of Australia’s biggest shows, including Australian Idol.”
The 2024 season of The Voice reached 10.6 million Australians on Seven and 7plus across it 11-week run, and was up 9% on 7plus year-on-year. Last year’s Grand Finale reached 2.31 million Australians, with a national total TV audience of 1.08 million and up 20% on 7plus compared to 2023.
Last Sunday, The Voice was the winner of the 2025 TV WEEK Logie Award for Best Entertainment Program.
The new season of The Voice premieres on Seven and 7plus this Sunday at 7.00pm.
Sonia is on the cover of Body and Soul liftout inside News Corp papers today. She turns 60 on August 28.
I had a chat with Kate Miller-Heidke
New graphics for the season 14 premiere. I wonder if Seven is copying the US version on NBC.
The original set of graphics had been used for the first 13 seasons, which must be some kind of record.
Just feels odd that Sonia is not there to open the show. Even if it was a simple “welcome to The Voice Season xx, here are the judges” then dissapears.
Yeah looks similar to the US version now. I preferred the older ones.
Sonia’s host role on this show in recent years is really confusing, she randomly appears and disappears throughout.
This year Sonia had to film blind auditions alongside Dancing with the Stars in the same period, so she could not be in person at The Voice in every episode.
Hence why she shouldn’t be hosting both shows.
I watched the first two blinds. Felt very very overproduced and hard to watch.
Watched last night, I liked the interaction between the 4 judges, but i can see the way Richard Marx “bignotes” himself (who he has worked with, how he’s won a Grammy etc) getting tiresome and/or a turn off if it continues, as much as I like the guy otherwise (one of my favourite solo male artists from the 80s).
Recap of season 14 premiere
Coming up on Monday
The Blind Auditions are heating up! Ronan is the only coach to not have any artists on his team yet… can he change that tonight? Or will the other coaches stand in his way?
I had the same thoughts and noticed the difference to having the more humble Aussies. The battle of the egos might become a bit much. He even mentioned “I know you guys don’t like braggers” so he’s aware Aussies hate the way people bignote themselves.
