How long has Masterchef left to go then?
I still feel this should have aired before MasterChef.

We are not even halfway through this season of MasterChef.
If Masterchef is as long as last season, it will run until the end of July (or finish first week of August).
Won’t that likely put it up against The Block though? It is mot smart to air it againsy similar competition as the previous version.
Maybe it could start earlier. They’d probably be smart to start it a couple of weeks before Masterchef ends to give it more exposure. The last couple of weeks of Masterchef cpukd easily go to Sun-Tuesday and Traitors air on Wed/Thurs for the first couple of weeks (Then it fills earlier in the week once Masterchef ends).

Weren’t the final weeks of Masterchef really stretched out last year but it doesn’t seem Ten really have anything other than The Traitors and Big Brother in the final half of the year, and we know Big Brother is airing in pretty much the same slot as last year.
The Traitors NZ S3 begins on Sunday. Will likely be very similar in format to the upcoming Aussie version.

I have never seen anything so ridiculous in my life. A countdown to a promo of a show, that probably won’t even be starting for 2 months.
It got very annoying up in the corner of the screen of Masterchef. Thankfully somewhere in the middle of the episode it seemed to disappear.
My guess is that if we do get it, that won’t be until after the Australian version airs. The NZ and Australian version filmed back-to-back at the same location, so likely will have very similar tasks and format (much like the UK and US do).

What a really big First World problem. 
10 are probably trying everything to drum up some interest. I love ‘Traitors’ no matter which country’s show, but my fear is that this will not rate very well here. I am a big fan of Gretel but I don’t think it will matter who the host is. I really hope I am proved 100% wrong.

Maybe but you can’t force people to have good taste, after all many watch garbage like 7 and 9 news. Tipping Point Australia and A Current Affair!

You can’t hence why they should have aired it before MasterChef. It was ready to go. 10 just make the same mistakes time after time. It’s frustrating to watch.

They should have aired it sooner, while there was still a lot of hype from the UK version.
I fear they may have held it back because they don’t think it’s as good as the UK season.
