The Simpsons

Ok enough of the bizarre memes.

Would Disney (now owning them), kids and all image, have anything to do with this? Even if always tongue-in-cheek/played for laughs, on a rather tame/family oriented animated sitcom (vs FG, AD and especially SP).

Keep banging that wall.

They haven’t done the strangling gag regularly for years now, it’s been much less frequent in the HD era of the show.

Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s completely off the table. The recent Treehouse special had one for instance.

Partly. I don’t watch the Simpsons that much anymore but I do have Disney Plus and I must say they seem to be trying to turn the Simpsons into something that it’s not. There are also a lot of spin-offs they have now.

Nah, Disney owns plenty of media that’s much worse than that. It’s just times changing, child abuse wasn’t funny, but these days isn’t acceptable to joke about.

Sorry, i don’t mean to be bizzare. I have brain damage. it is just screen caps that are funny or exciting

All good - let’s make sure they add to the conversation thouyh.

Heard this on radio news this morning, but I decided to put on a spoiler tag.

Daily Mail overdoing its clickbait yet again. This is common for Treehouse specials.

It’s not just Daily Mail. If you search news under the character’s name, you will find that there are articles on this from other media outlets.
