The Simpsons

Loved him in “A Fish Called Wanda” too, stole the show

Any chance we can see these episodes before February?

I’ve seen a few of these Simpsons caricatures on social media. The interpretation of FitzSimons makes him look a little bit too young.

In 2011, 8 episodes of The Simpsons were banned by Channel 10 due to the nuclear crisis in Japan, such as Marge gets a Job and On a clear day I can’t see my sister.

Did those episodes ever air on Eleven?

Do you have a source for this? Sounds made up.

Wikipedia for “Marge Gets a Job” tells us:

Following the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and the associated nuclear emergency, the episode was pulled from an Austrian network due to jokes about radiation poisoning.

Austria and Australia being famously the same country.

What a waste.

Isn’t that the usual timeslot for new episodes every year?

Usual timeslot, usual delay

They’re up to episode 11 in the US.

The American equivalent of Ray Warren. Thanks for the memories but you’ve more than outstayed your welcome. Time to go.

For those who’ve got 5-6 hours to kill, a review of every episode of The Simpsons so far (up to the first 11 of Season 32 that have already aired in the US, spoiler alert for Australians who rely on 7mate’s airings). Brought to you by some Irish guy plus a few other contributors for the odd episode review…

Can’t imagine how long it must’ve taken in viewing, editing, encoding and uploading for this to become a reality so for that, I’ve got to respect LS Mark. Having watched this on and off for the better part of a day (as you do to pass the time during a sweltering Sydney Summer), it’s not hard to see how downhill in quality The Simpsons has become during the more recent seasons!

Overall, my opinion about the show hasn’t changed. If it really can’t be cancelled, I’d be fine with The Simpsons doing a couple of occasional/seasonal specials (Treehouse of Horror, maybe an annual Christmas show or something) each year to keep the remaining fans happy. But no more full seasons of 22 episodes a year please!

If you were the CEO of Disney and you saw the coin it brought in every year whilst your parks and theatre revenue is down 75%, you may see differently!

Bang on. Pre-Disney buyout I thought we might see the end of in in a few years, but no chance now.
