Because they have over a million followers and over a few posts, get 10s of thousands of engagements. So when ready to actually announce something, they’ll have all these active members

It sounds like they are trying to ramp up an online / social media news presence to keep a younger audience engaged, a bit like The Daily Aus. It wouldn’t surprise me if it eventually expands to a podcast or something as well (better yet a 30-minute younger skewed news / entertainment news program in the future would be cool).

It’s all very strange that they are trying to keep this brand alive. I wonder if they’ve been picked up by another network perhaps? Otherwise, what’s the point?

you don’t need a TV network for an online profile. There’s enough social media platforms to distribute video content and the show already has a strong following, e.g. almost 500k on X/Twitter and almost 300k on YouTube. The challenge is monetizing that.

No idea but i imagine it’s a very small team.
Knowing 10, it would eventually lead into more than one day program and then back into a 5 or 6 day program as 10news+ replacement
