That what happens when you continually click on certain viewpoints. The algorithm on your social feeds gets slanted one way so that’sall you see.

When do you think Channel 10 will confirm the axing?

When they’re ready to launch the alternative program.

Come on. It was on the decline well before then.

You can tell

@Pranks i havent watched the show at all, but i think you are being at least a bit dogmatic in relation to The Project. Pretty much all media outlets are biased in either one way or another.

Pretty much all Sky News programming and some Nine and Seven personalities have some biases towards the right, whilst some ABC and SBS presenters have leanings towatds the left. The fact that people target The Project, which could be largely in part due to racism to a degree.

I would love to see The Project retained in some capacity, perhaps as a later evening format but then that could risk 10 Late News unless The Project was at say 9:30 with Late News at 11:30pm.

Sadly it will likely disappear. Not a fan, but much like when Neighbours ends, it will be sad as many shows dont get as good of a run as even The Project has had. Look at all the 6pm shows 10 has had in the same time frame

I think you are right. Most media are biased these days, which is probably why I don’t watch much TV anymore compared to the 90s or 00s. Sadly the ABC have also gone down that hole.

I really enjoyed 10 in the 00s. Great news service. Then it all just went south, and as you say, the whole industry has gone down the same path.

I guess, as you age you can become more conservative on your views

Has there been any demo data on who is tuning out and even tuning in to the program? What age group has the decline been in?

Gen Y and Z are a risk to the future of Free to Air TV News and Current Affairs. The landscape will look completely differently and likely more digital over the coming decades.

Whatever happens they need to find something for Georgie Tunny.

This story right now. She’s just simply perfect.

Do networks even do this?

Tunny is great, maybe a sports themed show of some sort? Agree they should keep her on. Maybe as part of the news.

Indirectly, by way of announcing the new show, I’d imagine. Though they might do something big for the final Project, I don’t know. They’d probably announce that.

How?

“Rested” is the term we normally hear. Maybe Sale Of The Century might return from its “rest” at some point

The elephant in the room.

or if they won any awards.

They didn’t even get nominated at last years awards. So I doubt there would be an elephant in the room this time around either.

Given the networks PR teams nominate people for the awards, I’d say there is a chance that The Project will not receive any nominations if it is getting axed

They won’t used axed or paused. It will be along the likes of ‘transforming our evening offering’ or something like that. ‘We will be using the expertise from our 630-730 hour to turbocharge our news offering’

‘New format’ is another that goes along ‘changing viewer habits’

So many world salads you can use these days to try and weave your way out of change. Tell that to the poor folks who have been given the chop however, some ‘transformation’. I’ve seen all this bs in my employer over the years.

Don’t forget that ten will also lose Neighbours at the tail end of this year which is more local quota gone.

They must have something pretty substantial planned for early evenings to replace the Neighbours/project shortfall.

I’d say the project must be being retained in some format to coexist with the new current affairs offer either of different nights or alongside.

Plus the introduction of an additional half hour game show on weekdays.
