All I know is he’s difficult for the team to work with as he doesn’t want to do the shows format. He wants to do his own thing.

I think this is why I enjoy these episodes more.
According to The Australian’s Media Diary, Lisa Wilkinson’s seven-year contract with 10 is coming to an end this year so Lisa and 10 will officially go separate ways.
Peter Ford said on radio this morning that (depending on who you speak to) Lisa has been paid between $30,000-$35,000 per week whilst having no on-air responsibilities at 10.
Not holding my breath for them to reinvest the savings but hopefully will help ease budget pressures if nothing else.

Could they not have put her to work off air at least?
As that nasty old queen knows, it was 10’s choice to sideline her, unfairly in my view. So they had to keep paying her as she did nothing wrong.

Very interesting that Pete and Dave both are all of a sudden inclined to appear on the show again on a semi regular basis.

Are they that much of a draw card though? Both have had short lived series on the network which didn’t set the ratings on fire.
Likely just the promise of work, in the absence of many other opportunities going around atm.

During the tribute to Maggie Tabberer, one of the clips from the past was actually Magda Szubanski in a parody on Fast Forward. Oops.
Ten News did something similar earlier this year for George Negus when they put in a parody clip by Paul Hogan.

I didn’t see that in the clip/story i saw. Unless the error went to air then they edited it and uploaded a revised version to Twitter, which is where i viewed it x.com
They did. 
I went back and checked my recording.
On the TV broadcast, it was just before 0:44 on the Twitter video when Maggie is carrying the laundry basket. The Magda clip was her in a pink shirt and scarf and she walked from left to right. It was only a second or two.
