The Project

I wonder if this is all a cost cutting exercise. I don’t imagine Pete would be on a cheap salary…

Maybe they will look to new talent to fill the show with one major well known person?

Didn’t Waleed sign a new contract this year. He would have to serve it out unless 10 release and pay him out.

Lisa is on a network contract therefore she doesn’t need to be on the show to continue to work for 10.

Uh oh.

Ten must be in crisis talks having not one, not two but THREE of the four main hosts all leaving the show.

Now only one is returning.

Soon people will tune in to watch the Project and it’ll just be an empty set.

For now

As per my previous post i would not be surprised if is this in part being driven by Ten. None of these exits will be a surprise to Ten management.

It feels like there are plans for big changes to The Project for 2023. Maybe Ten has put forward ideas and the hosts are not happy to stay on.

Didn’t Walleed just sign a new contract? Probably the only one it seems

Join the exodus please, Hamish.

Overhaul the show and see what happens.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rove make a full time return to television and take the show in a new direction.

It’s poor management on Ten’s part to have them all leaving at pretty much the same time. They could have at least tried to space them out, perhaps have asked Pete to stay until Easter.

Poor management skills is 10’s forte.

Rove hasn’t done any TV work since his Saturday night show crashed and burned.

Seems planned to me, being the last week of the 2022 ratings period.

Last time they had a big change with hosts, Charlie Pickering and Dave Hughes left at the same time.

Haven’t commented on this until now but WOW is an understatement. The presenter lineup of the show is imploding and IMO it is really a make or break time for the show. Pete was one of the good parts of the show along with Carrie and their departures are huge losses. Lisa on the other hand I feel like she could be better used elsewhere.

The best way forward would be to get regular fill–ins to fill the slot and keep the show moving. Too many drastic changes and you might as well end the show.

Without straying into mock presenter lineup this would be an ideal lineup for next year.

Mon–Fri: Waleed, Georgie Tunny, Tommy Little

Sunday (and add Saturdays while we’re at it): Hamish, Rachel Corbett, Dave Thornton/Tom Cashman

Sure, but it’s still going to be a huge adjustment for viewers. Imagine if Kochie, Nat and Beretts all left Sunrise at the same time. Big risk.

And the exodus continues

If only Kochie would leave Sunrise.
