I think it needs a whole new Team & I think it does need to go 7 days. @blackbox recently posted a rejected 9 pm Pitch for a show. I’m not saying that should be The Project or it should be replaced, but one aspect I thought was interesting was the concept of a weekly in-house comedian, who also starts the show with an opening monologue-type segment on the day’s news. If the show was to be refocused on the lighter take on the day’s news (10NF Has just done 90 minutes of hard news), that could be an idea.
In that format, the show would only have 2 lead presenters, with the comedian seat rotating each week. In terms of lead anchors, what about someone like Georgie & Hamish M-F and Sarah Harris & Lachlan Kennedy Sat & Sunday? or Even Tash Exelby…

If more go, I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing. I actually quite like all of them individually, but the show is in need of a desperate refresh. Not just the panel, but the set and format.
I get the impression she wants to wind back her on air presence and take on a more editorial role. Maybe the odd special.
Predictably the commentary on The Australian is hate filled and despicable. They rail against cancel culture then cheer on the cancelling of people. The hypocrisy is astounding.

Of course there are also multiple anti-ABC stories in each edition. Australia is not very well served now as far as independent media analysis.

Here is what Peter said on 3AW Breakfast this morning.
10 Management I think, not Lisa, however I doubt she would be against the idea considering her current brand image.
Mr Ford can go fishing as much as he wants, they are all either mid contract or likely have non disclosure agreement thrown at them. You don’t need to be einstein to see the light here, the show is finally heading for a reset, Ford jumping up and down over this is embarrassing. It is no trade secret that this show was heading for some major change at some point.

“You kind of wonder who is steering the ship at Channel 10,” Mr Allen said.
“There isn’t a conventional management structure … Who is the puppeteer here? What is the clear strategy and what are they doing? I don’t think there’s any clarity on any of that and I’m becoming quite frustrated when I look at Channel 10 – of all the shows they announced a year ago, which ones have been a success?

I think you need a bigger name as Georgie or Chrissy don’t cut it… Think bigger Melissa Doyle/Sam Armitage/ Leigh Sales actually experienced people who everybody knows.
