This one:
Wow how awkward was the first 30 seconds of that opener last night? PVO and Lisaâs chemistry is terrible.
Itâs obvious it was a gag that was executed poorly. 5 seconds of dead air pretty much says it all.
It definitely wasnât. Somebody didnât read the rundown and they (awfully) stumbled their way out of the awkwardness.
Something is off about the whole âweekendâ shows. Chemistry is awkward and vibe is off.
Yes PVO isnât the best fit for The Project. Donât know what it is but maybe he seems a bit too serious for the program?
He certainly doesnât fit in as well as the likes of Hamish MacDonald.
Or as it happed, the lead story wasnât ready and the control room was instructing Lisa & PVO to change direction at the last minuteâŚcausing some confusion on air as everyone moved material around behind the scenes.
Thatâs what it looked like and the producer was probably talking to them in their ear pieces which distracted them. Might have looked less awkward if they actually explained that they didnt have the story ready to roll so they were going to headlines instead.
Itâs live television these things happenâŚbut l agree with @JBar Lisa or Peter should have explained what happened.l think if Carrie was hosting she wouldâve said something.
I think Andrew Rochford should be at the desk on Fridays/Sundays. PVO makes some great stories - get him doing some more political stuff and integrate that into The Project.
Tuesday 11 August-
Hamish Macdonald will be on the panel tonight.
Is this the first time we have seen both the Melbourne and Sydney sets on air together?
Lisa was co-hosting from Sydney last and I believe she was on that set too.
That actually looks interesting. Did Walleed and Carrie appear on a screen in the Sydney shot?
I thought it was really well done having 2 people in Melbourne and 2 people in Sydney. I hope they can do that more often.
So Whereâs Pete?
