'Cause he spoke to the horse’s mouth - Ten’s Peter Meakin.
Haha Meakin is not really calling the shots these days.
Are you saying he does nothing at Ten? Is he down at the fish markets all day?
I thought he was just consulting for 10 now, though every article I can find says he stepped up to oversee the department when John Chouiefate resigned earlier last year and before they appointed Ross Dagan, who is the Network Director of News Content. I definitely don’t think Peter is there full time, just negotiating with talent such as Kerri-Anne and Jennifer Keyte and Hamish on this occasion.
Hamish is hosting again this week.
I dont think that was the case.
Fair enough - just going by this article from The Australian.
Oh, maybe he was… goes to show how much he did and does…
American Dylan Hafertepen is suing 10 over a November 2018 report on The Project regarding the death of Melbourne man Jack Chapman. Hafertepen’s lawyer argues the report portrayed the client as a murderer. Hafertepen is seeking general and aggravated damages in the Federal Court.
Is it just me, or do the latest Ten/Project promos with the mean tweets seem really at odds with all the work The Project has done with their anti-cyber bullying campgains? I get the angle that it’s just a bit of fun, but by celebrating the comments (and not even anonymously) are they not subtly saying this kind of behaviour is okay, and completely against their speak up and if you don’t have anything nice to say stance they have so often publicised. Or is it different if you’re making fun of famous people, or if the network can profit from it? Feels really off to me.
I didn’t interpret their reactions as celebrating hurtful comments I saw it more as them exposing the comments and laughing them off as ridiculous or exaggerated. If anything it promotes a positive image of being self-confident
Thursday 28 November-
Chris Brown hosting with Lisa,Pete and Rachel Corbett.
Can we expect The Sunday Project is returning to Melbourne for the next few months given HYBA has now finished for the year?
I wonder if The Sunday Project will take a three week break as it did last Christmas-New Year.
I hope not. I don’t understand the break. Even on Christmas they should be able to do a prerecorded show.
The Sunday Telegraph reports Carrie will continue as co-host of The Project after signing a new contract with 10, despite the network refused to sweeten its original $750,000 contract offer.
I’m surprised she only gets $750,000, how much does Lisa Wilkinson get? She should consider looking elsewhere.
