Did Sunrise get the Uber Eats exclusive?
Interesting, isnāt it? So I wonder if product placement is going to be a new way of securing interviews now?
What was the Uber Eats exclusive?
The interview was conducted on a film set with a conspicuous Uber Eats bag between them. ![]()
That Kardashian woman had been filming her reality show and an Uber Eats TV commercial which debuted on television tonight. It also stars Magda Szubanski as her character Sharon from Kath and Kim. She is talking to Kim, who turns out to not be Kim Craig from the show but Kim Kardashian.
Lisa had to sign a waiver which means the interview could end up on the reality show.
Thanks.
That ad should have been as short as the others and ended with the paper bags appearing. The butt end of it is excruciating.
There will probably be a shortened version on air as well.
Nick Tabakoff in The Australian claims that the ABC will not allow Hamish Macdonald to host The Sunday Project next year, saying he will be too busy with his three roles at the ABC. The best Ten can hope for apparently is Macdonald being an occasional panelist.
It probably makes sense since Q&A is on Monday night, they probably prepare for it on Sundays.
Tom Tilley might slot into Hamishās role.
Hope not. Someone like Peter Van Onselen would be better or even Hugh Riminton would be better. Didnāt mind Lisa and Hugh hosting the other Friday.
Possibility of Lisa & Gorgi hosting together?
Yes Please.
With Hamish supposedly out of the equation, The Project needs to work on their hosting rotations so that they donāt have more than one of their hosts (Waleed, Carrie, Lisa and Pete) away at the same time on a regular basis. Gorgi Coghlan can fill any of the gaps. Obviously, there will be absences from time to time, but Iām talking about better planning their night offs and fixing the holes, particularly on Thursday, Friday and Sundays nights where there are randoms sometimes.
Gorgi is the only one that is going to be able to successfully fill the Sunday role and keep the momentum and feel the show has now if Hamish goes. Such a shame if they lose him.
Who are the randoms? Theyāre building up quite a few presenters as regulars like Gorgi Coghlan, Tommy Little, Joel Creasey, Rachel Corbett, Susie Youssef.
I am not sure you will get Gorgi as a regular on Sundays given the Sydney commute.
Dr Chris Brown, Andrew Rochford, Peter Van Onselen, Barrie Cassidy, Jennifer Keyte, Joe Hill, Tom Tilley, Joel Creasy, Dave Thorton, Tom Ballardā¦Iām not talking about that fourth seat on the desk- I would actually like them to put some different guests in that chair- Iām just talking about finding stable and familar fill-ins for the hosts.
Carrieās reliefs are fine- Lisa, Gorgi, Rachel, Tarsh and Sarah- itās more Waleed and Hamishās seat that Iāve got a problem with. Gorgi and Rachel are far more capable than any of the males that they substitute in.
Rachel Corbett? She does a great job at hosting. Maybe alternate between Waleed, Gorgi and Rachel throughout the year to host with Lisa on Sundays.
But who is the problem exactly? Waleed and Hamish havenāt been off that often. Those fourth chairs you mention have been hosts as well. Peter Van Onselen and Tom Tilley have been the latest regulars while Andrew Rochford and Chris Brown did it more often in the past.
I can only think of Hugh Rimington doing it outside of them. Must have had everyone else unavailable.
Of those you mentioned, I actually prefer Hugh.
I donāt think Tom is a strong host and I donāt think he should be Hamishās replacement, just because he is the only male regular they have. Gorgi and Rachel Corbett (and frankly all of Carrieās female fill-ins) are much better than any of those male reliefs. So, because of their familarity and ability, I think they should take precedence in the rotations.
