The Project (2015-Sept 2020)

First question to Jessica Rowe was about her leaving Studio 10. She’s moved on, and so should everyone else.

Looks like they’ve gone back to the previous style of opener for the last couple of nights.

Girls who escape Stefanovic, high-five together.

This is the most ridiculous promo idea. “News delivered differently”… from the 1980s?

How much and what do they do? Maybe if they did more segments live (within reason) this wouldn’t be a problem? For breaking news they could actually extend beyond 7.30.

They’re recording from 5pm most days.

To clarify, the question was:

“But Studio 10 I want to talk about, it’s been a little while since you left, what have you been up to?”

Whilst Waleed intro’d it that way, the question really was about what she’s been up to since she left… Jessica chose to speak fondly about her time there and seemed very comfortable and willing to talk about it and could’ve answered the question more directly if she didn’t want to bring that up - so not really an issue IMO.

It would’ve been strange if it hadn’t come up at all, since she was a large part of their morning line up for about 5 years or so.

A good start with Rove saying his first word about 12 mins in.

Hypocrisy from The Project with them having a story about one man’s campaign to ban (single use) plastic wrappers on Mentos, and supporting him, yet their desk is covered in sheets of A4 paper out of a laser printer. Laser ink contains plastic - that is, single use plastic.

Waleed and Lisa spoke to a journalist based in Sri Lanka.

You want to ban ink now? What happens when their teleprompter break down and they have nothing to read out? It has happened at least once in the past.

No. Just let people eat Mentos.

What’s wrong with buying the roll with about ten Mentos in them, rather than the plastic bag full of individually plastic wrapped ones?
