People can’t work 24 hours a day. Eamon might have arrived in Paris last night after a full day of work in London, then been up all night for Studio 10 and preparing for 5pm bulletins (and other commitments, ie TVNZ). And he gets to do it all again tomorrow.
Also gives The Project it’s own unique voice which is a good thing IMO.
