The Project (2015-Sept 2020)

Not sure how accurate face book is but Waleeds editorial last night got 6.1 million views.

Facebook counts a view as watching the video for longer than 3 seconds.

Very good for The Project and was a really well made segment.
Eye opening to see Waleed that way (he normally is very composed).

Probably a better lineup
6.30pm Neighbours
7.00pm Family Feud

Rubbish. That would be floptastic.

The project is live programming that communicates with the audience. It’s brand defining.

Let me guess, Simpsons at 6pm?

With The Simpsons at 6pm, this sounds like a fantastic early evening lineup for Ten…if it were 2006 rather than 2016!

Media reports suggest Roving Enterprises is considering an offer to move The Project to Nine… Not sure where it could fit around their newscaff schedule though, 5/5.30 or 7.30?

probably an attempt to get higher licence fees from Ten on recent ratings and Logies success.

If it ever did end up on nine, I could see it at 9.30 or 10.00pm.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Seven took an interest also.

I personally would’ve thought that Seven (who could probably do with a better program at 7pm, especially in Sydney & Melbourne) would take a much stronger interest in The Project rather than Nine who currently has news/current affairs programing on from 3pm to 7.30pm each weekday with only a break for Hot Seat.

Although in any case, I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if it’s just an attempt to get higher licence fees from Ten based on it’s recent success.

Ding ding winner here.

No different to the “rumours” which circle every time Karl’s Today Show contract comes up for renewal.

where is this article you speak of?

Quick search and found [this article] (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/the-project-whispers-channel-10-program-may-move-to-nine/news-story/e999bcdb3f0128b67bf1bc02abd028e9) from yesterday.

I can’t see Seven being much interested in The Project, especially at 7.00. Perhaps in a later timeslot but networks these days have conditioned viewers to switch off after 9.30 so they don’t invest anything into those timeslots anymore.

Which is a shame because I think 9.30 would be a good timeslot for this show. If it went to Nine or Seven, I can’t see where else they would schedule it.

The Daily Mail has kindly reproduced the story for us. Nine and The Project said they knew nothing about the rumour when News contacted them.

Should’ve made mention earlier that the Herald Sun article is behind a paywall. :yum:

Hardly going to come straight out and say either way.

I doubt we’ll see the show move to another network. As said, it’s probably just a way of driving up the license fees. With recent success, it will no doubt work.
