The NCIS metaverse

In the 2024-25 CBS primetime schedule, NCIS: Origins will take over NCIS: Hawaii’s Monday night timeslot.

NCIS Sydney will be Friday 8pm (mid season) once Blue Bloods finishes up in December

So that probably means 8 episodes again, maybe 12 max.

That is exactly what the show will be called

Doesn’t sound like a premise for a long running show.

I don’t think they ever said it would be? I always just assumed it was a one and done miniseries?

Seen on Twitter that it’s at 35k. Even with further confirmation that it’s not coming back, to get that many within 3 weeks shows fan loyalty that’s for sure.

Good news that the two new NCIS spinoffs will air on 10’s main channel, rather than Paramount+.

Where does it say they won’t air on Paramount+?

Maybe they’ll do what they do now which is air them day and date on P+ first then on 10 later.

Also, the Tony and Ziva show doesn’t even start filming til later in the year so I doubt it’ll be airing this year.

Yeah I wouldn’t take that as any guarantee they won’t air on Paramount+ first, especially given Tony & Zina is a P+ commission.

The press release includes list of shows that will air on 10 in the next few months. If either Tony & Ziva or NCIS: Origins (or both) is exclusive to P+, it will have spelt it out clearly.

Sorry man I think you have it wrong.

It’s a list of shows that’s coming to 10. It doesn’t mean those shows aren’t airing on P+ first.

Look at Elsbeth. It’s been on P+ first and now airing on 10 later and it’s in that list. What’s the difference?

And as Killy said, NCIS: Tony and Ziva is actually a P+ commissioned exclusive so it might not even air on 10 at all.

There are no US shows airing on 10 first anymore, they’re all on P+ first. From the NCIS franchise, Blue Bloods, Elsbeth, Fire Country, FBI’s. They all air on P+ first.

Lol this is 10 we are talking about, nothing is really ever that clear… they regularly change programming strategies’ and decisions between what will air on 10 / Paramount+.

Of course, nobody really knows… but track record tells us that it’s likely neither of these shows will be seen on 10 in 2024 given one hasn’t even commenced production yet and the other is a Paramount+ exclusive and they’ll give it room on that platform first.

Guess we will wait and see.

Random filming update for Season 2:

Parts of an episode of NCIS: Sydney were filmed at Banksia today, a suburb in Sydney’s south.

This morning, they filmed a scene at Banksia Railway Station, and this afternoon, at a Mixed Grocer opposite the station. The public were available to use the station.

Public were able to walk around the local shops for the most part at the shoot too. Traffic controllers stopped the traffic while scenes were shot. The traffic stopped for up to 60 seconds at a time (i was stopped at one time approx 2.50pm).

I did not recognise any big name actors. Lots of crew, and some extras.

Wow. That’s just down the road from home. I drove past there an hour later but had no idea.

I’ve been watching NCIS Sydney on 10. Why are the main characters so unlikeable? Are all the NCIS shows like this? Do they intentionally make the characters obnoxious so they clash with each other?

Nope, I think the idea for Sydney was that it’s AUS police & US agents. So probably showing how they started by clashing but ends up being close and working together well etc :man_shrugging:

It’s very strange. They come across like they are all up themselves and when they clash, the scipts are really weak.
