The Masked Singer

Why? They kept Family Feud in a prime time slot despite it getting the same ratings as Masked Singer USA. It’s not like they have anything better to screen anyway.

I think the Masked Singer USA will do better with a lead in like The Bachelorette.

I noticed 10 has been promoting The Masked Singer USA on Monday night and last night. Hopefully a few more will stay around after The Bachelorette and tune in.

I would say that regardless of how long it’s been since the first episodes, it will definitely have it’s best chance with a lead-in like Bachelorette. Even if it pulls similar numbers it will be more acceptable in a later slot.

I don’t know why everyone keeps BAGging the show. We all ate up the Aussie version.

Well read the comments in this thread and you’ll find out why.

The competition format for the current season of The Masked Singer USA is confusing. The 16 celebrities were divided into three groups, but so far we have only seen group A and B perform, and group C won’t appear until episode 5, which is scheduled to air on 10 on Wednesday, November 4 (the first episode after the World Series break). It will have been better if three groups take turn to perform each week.

Well it’s only airing 6 days after the USA. The show has a week off in the US on the 21st. So not sure what Ten will do as episode 5 won’t air until the 28th in the US ( 29th for us), so they won’t be able to air it on the 28th.

Me either. To me it’s better than the Australian version. Both in quality of singers as well as better judges.

Next year we will see the new season earlier than expected. It will be interesting to see if Lindsay Lohan will be able to travel to Australia for season 3, or will Urzila Carlson return.

From MediaWeek:

Host Osher Günsberg and our panel of super sleuths Jackie O, Dave Hughes, Dannii Minogue and Urzila Carlson will all be back on deck in 2021.

No Lindsay Lohan.

I’m assuming this will be filming again in Melbourne?

You’d think so considering they constructed a new set there for this year, but I guess it depends on what happens with lockdown there.

They’ll already be in pre-production for another series if it’s going to be airing in Q1 next year.

You would think they will start filming this again soon, possibly early January.

If we’re still in lockdown come December/January I am outta here. :joy:

Beverley McGarvey told News Corp that it is still possible for Lindsay to come to Australia next year to join the show.

“I think there’s wiggle room,” Ms McGarvey told news.com.au about the line-up. “That panel is a panel that can evolve.

“We love all the talent that we had on this year and we love Lindsay. Our feeling at this point is that it feels fairly ambitious to think our borders are going to be open anytime soon. Obviously we would love to have all our internationals back once we can, but I just don’t know when that’s going to be.

“We won’t really know until we have firm filming dates as to who may or may not get into the country,” Ms McGarvey said. “The one thing that we’ve learned this year is that we’ve got to be flexible with things. Once we know when we’re doing things, then we’ll figure out how we cast the whole show.”

We don’t need her back. Ever.

Agreed. Ten should be using the talent available here in Australia (of which there seems to be plenty) for The Masked Singer before bringing in anyone from overseas.

Which makes it less and less relevant.
