Just turned over to watch the last 10 mins but only lasted 4 seconds when all I got was Osher shouting

No surprises with who was behind the masks of the winner and runner-up. Some guessed them in here. 3rd place was 50-50 on who was behind it.

The only downside to recording it while it’s airing, means people who voted in the finale would’ve seen everything before it and knew who was in the costumes.
They did incredibly well with this. Almost seamless.

Osher was green screened fairly well for most of it. The proportions were a bit off when he stood next to the singers. Probably should have just stood back one step. When he was alone, it looked very good.
Jackie O looked like she was almost there with them on the panel, for most of it. Urzila was not as well done. She said she was on a webcam in hotel isolation. You could tell.

That’s right. They never are. They’ve always faked the audience reactions to unmaskings.
No but you knew who it was. For example we voted queen knowing we voted for Kate miller- heidke because we already saw 4 episodes with her.
Pre recorded before airing means you don’t have any other info of previous performances.

They owned it at the start though. For the average viewer, it was hardly noticeable, and if you did notice, you understood why. Fine TV production there folks.

Yeah I don’t understand how the Bushranger won. She was good and deserved to be in the finale but I had messages from friends and family through the episode and everyone was sure the Queen was going to win. I had to explain/remind people who Bonnie Anderson is and people were still thinking it was Mauboy based on the voice. Maybe that helped or she had a few fans on the voting panel… 
So are 10 airing the US version on the main channel or one of the other channels? Airing international versions can risk damaging the local version longer term (as it’s overkill) but I guess they are short on content this year.
I was also surprised Bushranger beat Queen to win the title. Queen (Kate Miller-Heidke) had the best voice.
Bonnie Anderson had to juggle her participation with Neighbours filming plus two weeks in self-quarantine when the finale was postponed last month (which meant she had to be absent from the Neighbours set), she would be happy that all these efforts paid off.
