They’re in Melbourne so I’d be suggesting this is necessary right now. HYBPA has been separated the entire time too.

Not for the length it takes them to film one episode of the Masked Singer. A one hour show like this ain’t filmed in 3 hours that’s for sure!

The current arrangement for HYBPA is fine as it means some overseas guests (like Melanie Bracewell) can stay in their home towns, without having to travel to Melbourne and self-isolate for two weeks before taking part in the show.

As for The Masked Singer, 10 had confirmed that Queen, Echidna, Goldfish, Dragonfly, Frillneck and Puppet would perform in tonight’s season premiere, with the other six to appear tomorrow night.
There is also a 16-page Masked Singer liftout in TV Week out today.

You will only see their recorded performances and vote on it, but won’t know who has already been eliminated. Obviously they had filmed multiple results and unmaskings.

No they don’t. The audiences don’t witness the unmasking. As mentioned last season, only the judges and minimal crew are there for that segment of the show. The audience reactions to the unmasking are faked because they are never there.

The online audiences are only seeing one part of the competition so they shouldn’t know who has already been eliminated because the masked contestants they might know could be in a different round. It might get more difficult when they are down to fewer contestants in the comp but you’ll only know who remains not who the unmasked singer is.

This show isn’t my cup of tea but just watched the first 10 minutes and I gotta say boy is it well produced. The production values are exceptional.

Production has been increased to the max this year.

Really love the creativity with the audience, it adds to the theme of the show and I actually prefer the animals to last year’s over the top “real” crowd.
