The most exciting thing for us at the moment is obviously something like Masked Singer because it is properly original and it’s also a bit bonkers.
The show has made such an impact because it was original and interesting to the market. There’s so much content out there, you have to be a bit different in order to cut through now. It’s a big event, it’s short, it’s snappy, and I think our schedule really needed something that felt like it had a bit of energy.

I don’t know i think many would be able to guess majority of the celebrity and dwts cast. The US version didn’t have a massively well known celebrities.

I know Osher had the experience of co-hosting Australian Idol a decade ago, but couldn’t 10 have considered someone else?

Osher Günsberg Comes Back To Music TV As The Host Of Australia’s Unmissable New Show.

When you have a show that’s packed with celebrities, live singing and full-body disguises that are just a little bit bonkers, you need an experienced music man to steer the ship.

Enter, Osher Günsberg, one of Australia’s trusted TV hosts and passionate music expert.

In recent years, Osher is best known for his work as the nation’s most famous matchmaker in his role as host of The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette Australia and the romantic franchise’s tropical spinoff, Bachelor In Paradise.

But from 1999 - 2009, Osher was at the forefront of Australia’s popular music industry, working as a music VJ on Foxtel’s Channel V, hosting national hit radio program Take 40 Australia and helping to create music superstars as co-host on Network 10’s Australian Idol .

Now it’s time for Osher to put down the roses (only momentarily guys, don’t freak out) and pick up the mic, as he becomes the musical ring master once again.

On his return to music television, Osher said: “I’m so excited to be a part of a big, loud entertainment show for Network 10. The Masked Singer Australia is such an out-there show, such a wild format, and I can’t wait for people to see it.

I doubt this will air at the same time as Bachelor/ette, it’s slated to air alongside The Amazing Race at the back end of the year.

True. It just doesn’t make sense to air it with the bachelor/ette unless they plan on holding over the bachelorette until next year.

Beverley has said its airing this year.

They have a 50 week schedule. Week 1 started January 13. They’ll need to go through to December 16 at least to ensure they stick to their word. They’ll need content for that. Masked singer and amazing race is the content.
