Chrissie Swan on Nova Melbourne just mentioned that the finale took 16.5 hours to film.
That was a very long filming session considering the studio audience wasnât there for the reveal of the identities of the final three masks. Iâd say that half of the time was spent on setting up and dismantling of the elaborate sets for each maskâs final performance.
Notably absent from todayâs upfronts formal media release.
Thought that was odd too. But it appeared in the schedule graphicâŚ
They did show clips at the start and it was in the schedule shown for the second half of the year.
Please say new judges
So Chrissie Swan says âyes, yes, I believe soâ when asked if The Masked Singer is returning this year. And 10 was contacted to comment, but hasnât responded yet.
Doesnât sound like a 100% return yet. But i do hope it returns later in the year. Itâs a nice light-entertainment show. But hope Dave Hughes doesnât return. Heâs silly answers gimmick has been done to death now.
Would also not be disappointed if Dave didnât return, someone new please and it might make the show more watchable.
I enjoyed the new additions to the panel last year and wouldnât mind if they all returned. Itâs always good to have someone new though to keep it fresh.
A lot of people donât like Dave but the stupid/random guesses are there for a bit of a laugh. We still need someone like that but maybe just a little less on the stupid/far fetched guesses. There are plenty of comedians that they could consider in his place.
From 10:
The Masked Singer Australia will continue to delight all ages with big hits, huge celebrities and epic masks. Amongst them, the most Aussie mask of all time, a lovable green villain who might just be our most bonkers mask yet. Get ready for wild cards, more surprise moments, and a step back in time to relive some of the best music eras ever!
Why is Daveâs name in bold?
The the interface doesnât always interpret the rich text codes correctly ; corrected to all bold.
Wouldnât have mind if theyâd replaced Dave, they probably wanted the continuity of the panel but heâs probably the weakest link of everyone⌠just makes it feel so daggy.
Replace everyone.
No way. I really enjoyed last seasonâs panel and they made a lot of great guesses too. I would just replace Hughesy but I guess they want someone that gives stupid answers.
Filming early June with a July finale. So probably air in August. Same panel. Any international guests coming this month?
I suggest you start stalking the airport.
