A 50/50 split is still a result and just goes to show viewers are completely split down the middle.

The appetite for late night news on Friday nights isn’t strong though. It hasn’t been in the past, when 10 had its late news.
Correct. No doubt. But all these shows continue, 5 nights a week, I regardless or the Lower viewership

Why can’t we simply have a schedule where they both have solo nights and on “big” news days they present together?

The 6pm news would be leading the coverage. Not a program that airs after 9:30pm most nights.
6pm is also only local…
Doesn’t stop the other networks from having lead presenters in Sydney that arguably should be seen nationally on a regular basis though.
