The Graham Norton Show

According to the guide they will indeed be showing this years NYE show featuring Hugh Jackman and the cast of The Greatest Showman. I am pretty sure they have been doing this every year for the last couple of years. There is no point showing the NYE show after New Years.

So Ten got to show the episode first, around 12 hours before the UK.

That doesn’t happen very often. Did they promote it that way?

Three in New Zealand aired the NYE show for Dec 2016 before the UK, but decided not to in 2017 and saved it for tonight.

Might have got a bigger audience on Ten tonight too but they have Big Bash all night.

They really needed to show the Christmas / Star Wars show late last year rather than this late.

Ten would have to air the episode on late Friday night straight after the BBL.

If no Fridays were available then they could have picked another night just this one time.

Especially For You, Kylie Minogue Crashes Graham Norton’s Couch.

Plus A Stunning Performance From Australia’s Pop Princess.

Tonight, The Graham Norton Show is for all the lovers, as red-blooded woman and Aussie superstar Kylie Minogue dances her way onto the couch at 8.30pm on TEN and WIN Network.

The ARIA Hall of Fame member and 16 time ARIA Award winner talks to the British king of comedy about her new album, Golden, before the petite pop princess steps back in time to confide in Graham, opening up about her heartbreak, personal growth and the journey to Nashville to write and record her latest album.

Who should be so lucky to share the couch on a night like this? An array of megastars including actors Tom Holland, Emily Blunt and John Krasinksi, who busts out his own signature dance move to Kylie’s mega-hit Love At First Sight.

After treating Graham’s guests to her take on the British accent, leaving everyone spinning around with laughter, Kylie will hit the stage to perform her new track Stop Me From Falling.

Sit back and get ready for an episode no one will be able to get out of their head.

Last week’s season opener was the first to be filmed at the new studios at BBC Television Centre in London’s west. The London Studios, where the show was filmed from episode one in 2007, will be closed sometime this year for demolition and redevelopment.

Shame if they didn’t take the opportunity to refresh the set with the change in studios, which looks incredibly dated.

The promo did not mention the other special guest: Vanessa Kirby, who played Princess Margaret on Netflix series The Crown for two seasons.

It is a bit stretched to call this week’s episode a Star Wars special because only two actors from Solo: A Star Wars Story is on the show: Emilia Clarke (Qi’ra) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (L3-37). The other guests are Gloria Estefan, David Tennant and Leon Bridges.

New season 24 of The Graham Norton Show will premiere on Ten Sunday 30 September at 7.30pm, that’s one day after it airs on BBC1.

Guests include: Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Jodie Whittaker, Ryan Gosling and Rod Stewart.

I don’t know if that is a permanent timeslot or just counter programming to the NRL Grand Final on the same night. It will be followed next Sunday by the movie The Notebook.
