Seven needs to begin airing this season straight after the US premiere. If not fast-tracked then it’s not going to fix their gaping hole.
24 Sept is the premier date in the USA so maybe 1st Oct if they continue with Monday nights
Season 2 premieres Tuesday October 2 according to an updated promo shown tonight during Seven News. I think Seven delays the premiere by one week to cover any pre-emption in the US.
Nothing like some blatant cross promotion.

The first thing that strikes you about Freddie Highmore is his accent. It’s British, very much so. But nailing the American accent – and quirky personality – of autistic surgeon Shaun Murphy was a pushover for Freddie.
Seven’s promos now saying “Australia’s No 1 drama” instead of “Australia’s No 1 show” 
Seems they’ve come to a realisation themselves it’s not going to match last year.
Why do Seven always put the Annoying Script Song Arms Open in their Promos unlike ABC America which they’re Promos are Awesome?

New promo aired this evening in Melbourne saying the show is returning soon.
TV Week has it in the Program Guide for Monday and Tuesday next week 9pm.
I know Seven is desperate for ratings knowing the new season of Married at First Sight will pull massive ratings next week, but showing two episodes on one week is not a good idea, since the current season will go on another break or two in America before it finishes in May. Seven should keep an episode up its sleeve so it can show the season with little interruption.
Tonight and Tomorrow, Season 2B Kicks Off.
ABC has renewed The Good Doctor for a third season.
Looks like the remaining episodes of season 2 will be shown on Seven hours after the US, starting from tonight. It means however if the show is pre-empted in America, Seven will have to resort to repeats or air something else.
Which should’ve been done a long time ago.
The season finale is expected to air on 11 March in the US (that means three episodes are left). Unlikely Seven will be given any headaches, until the week after when it has to replace the doc.
