Could have updated the promo for tonight in the light of recent reports. It’s not all fun and games tonight.

What recent reports - the front bar is an entertainment show first and foremost, not a news show.

It’s a sports panel show focussing on AFL. I thought they might get some more viewers especially in AFL territory if they mentioned in the promo that they would be talking about the latest drug scandal.

I agree, Andy Maher (being the host/straight one) should/might say something about it, otherwise elephant in the room and all that’s on anyones minds today

They can cover the serious news in Talking Footy later tonight. The Front Bar is purely for entertainment.

Wonder if they’ll crack jokes about the serious issue though, surely Mick or Sam will at least bring it up, even if initially subtly

They opened the show with a Peter Daicos and I’m a Celeb joke.

They might talk about the drug scandal subtly, and let Talking Footy to talk about it properly.

They won’t in case the whole saga becomes a big court/legal issue and any jokes said could put the show at risk on contempt of court similar to Lisa Wilkinson.

Fitzy’s segment was awful, but the rest of the show was amazing.

‘Sia’ LOL, sitting in some empty mid-tier cafe

Matthew Richardson and Lehmo are guest co-hosts tonight, filling in for Mick and Sam respectively.

Special guests are 1977 Brownlow medallist Graham Teasdale and former West Coast, Brisbane Bears and Fitzroy player Mark Zanotti.

They failed to acknowledge the tragic passing of former Channel 7 presenter Nathan Templeton in the Last Shout tonight.

It’s not necessarily a fail. They are not obliged to do it. I don’t watch the show, but is it aired live? Could it have been pre-recorded before today?

Tonight’s show was aired live in Melbourne, there was a LIVE AND FREE watermark. It had been absent since the 2024 AFL season began.

Was a different feel with two guest co-hosts and also relatively unknown on the show too from what I’ve seen but still a good show. I do like that whatever show he’s on they always stir Matty Richardson up about things. Lehmo had some good footage and some going back a while of his commentary.

Glad they could still have a show when there’s two out of 3 hosts away but it does make it harder when they’ve got some newbies in there.
