I always find the footy show really tacky and never has much direction. I understand its light but it needs the professionalism of the project or how rove used to conduct himself on screen.

This show is pure rubbish. What is wrong with the people hosting this show? Sam Newman going over to talk to Dangerfield while the show is on. Totally unprofessional. I can see why no one out of Melbourne watches it. Second time I have watched this year and I turned over after about 3 minutes.
No one in Sydney watches it because its on too late over here. Same for Brisbane.
Sorry should have been more specific. Adelaide and Perth figures are very poor and you can see why.

This Show needs an Your-Chair Style Panel, like The Project does once an Year.
what i want to know is wht canāt they put the AFL footy show on live in Qld and NSW on GEM and the NRL in melbourne the same way?
iām a queenslander who prefers AFL but i donāt bother to watch the footy show - the NRL version never finishes on time meanng i canāt record the AFL version.

Is this what Brayshaw and Newman were referring to on Wednesdayās show? They said it was incorrect. Then Sam went on a massive tirade against The Age.
They can, and used to do this. Obviously they believe the alternative content on GEM rates better.

I understand that its probably unlikely that it will air live anytime soon in Sydney and Brisbane due to low ratings numbers and revenue loss, but surely it deserves a better time in these two cities.
Im from Sydney, and airing the show on Nine around midnight is a joke. At most, I can only see no more than 20 minutes of it before I go to bed and pass out. It should air on Gem at least at 10.30pm at the latest so that more viewers can watch a good chunk of it.
On the odd occasion it airs on a Wednesday night, it airs after midnight because of the constant overtime of the NRL Footy Show. It should air immediately after it. Not an hour after it!!
I havenāt watched The Footy Show in years, but Iāll be glad to hear the end of their relationships with Mars or Holden or some other random car manufacturer, mentioned a million times in the lead-out from each commercial break. Who cares. As relevant as Viva paper towel or Leggoās sauce sponsoring MasterChef. Couldnāt give a shit.
Canāt believe that was top news on smh the other day.
They tried this earlier this year. AFL is toxic in the ratings in Sydney no matter how hard the AFL tries to convert us over. Any 1hr filler garbage will rate better.
At least these days with live streaming you can watch the Melbourne stream live.

Exactly- hardly headline national news, as Fairfax was treating it last week.
Well iāve seen loads of errors on the telethon ticker tonight.
It looks like that when you enter the suburb, that gets fed via a API to the ticker.
There is heaps of spelling errors with suburbs and even some non existent suburbs.
Meanwhile has someone put their address on the ticker

A great result from last nightās telethon raising just over $800,000 for childrenās cancer charity My Room.
Couldnāt agree moreā¦ I lost count of the number of times Bacchus Marsh was spelt āBaccus Marshā (They should have made a small donation for every time that happened)
Also, one donorās hometown was given as āGippsland Lochāā¦ Loch is a small village in the Gippsland region. Perhaps the donor, when asked on the phone where he/she was calling from, responded āGippsland, Lochā
Maybe next week theyāll have a telethon for the show to purchase Spellcheck software 
Next weeks show should be interesting. Sam said heād lie naked on the desk if Essendon beat Carlton. The unthinkable happened.
