Just because something finishes 2nd, it does not automatically mean it gets cancelled. From a business perspective, it may be more beneficial to finish 2nd with the cost of producing the show. Only when the missed revenue opportunities, impact to 7News start to impact the overall business will changes be considered…

I suggested this previously.
You could do a block of beat the chasers between start of ratings and easter next year. Easter is quite early so it is only really Feb and March. You could also do beat the chasers 3 days a week and the chase 2 days a week.
The goal is to just bring people back to the 5pm slot for a long enough period of time to break their tipping point/9 News habit.
Beat the chasers could do that.

I was going for the Chaser tonight after that offer for steps was turned down. Would had to have been one of the highest individual wins.

Things kind of got heated there for a minute, the contestant obviously didn’t like the Chaser telling her she was “crazy” for not taking the 4 fire-power steps (which she retorted back with “well that’s your opinion”).
But it would have gotten her the win since Sharky only got there with 7 secs remaining.

It seems to making the contestants less likely to go for the lower offer. There was probably too much of that going on, but it did generally make for a more competitive and interesting Final Chase with more contestants involved.
Since when are these publications of a realible source of truth?
Anne and Issa will be the Chasers in the 4-part NZ version.

Will we get to see this run of 4 episodes on Seven? Maybe as a prime-time filler over summer?
Looks like the recent filming for the upcoming new season (and the late half of the currently airing season?) has seen the “Money Spinner” quietly getting the axe per Issa’s Twiiter,

The four Chasers (Issa, Matt, Mara and Brydon) are on the panel at Telethon today, and I notice Matt is wearing a black t-shirt with the 10 years on air logo.

Beat the Chasers in the UK introduced a mystery masked Chaser dubbed The Maverick to this weeks show, revealing their identity at the end of the show.
It was Brad’s mate Joe Pasquale
A lesson for Seven perhaps that ITV didn’t milk it with weeks of promos - indeed the press only reported on it on the day of broadcast, and most viewers only found out when watching it.
With the Ashes on 7 from Nov until Early Jan, 7 needs to find a way of having a good promo but also not bombarding people with it to the point it becomes annoying and obnoxious
