If it fails to get any ground in 2026, I can see it being axed for 2027. Sticking with it for 2026 was the correct call
Or perhaps itâs not the full year.. maybe theyâre working on something else to be premiered at a strategic point, say after the Commonwealth Games?
Probably because ratings make the difference.
Then again, we have TPA promoting $100k episode a full week before airing.
We said that this year. But Seven have opted to keep it.
And I think people will get tired of watching counter shelves move backwards and forwards with Tipping Point before too long, and people will come back to The Chase.
Perhaps they could also have a few Celebrity âThe Chaseâ specials on weeknights to regenerate interest in the show?
Iâd say this is what Seven are banking on. Plus they probably have no idea what to put in its place as the new âhitâ format hasnât yet presented itself
If the Money Spinner has been dropped as suggested above, hopefully theyâve gone back to basics as the show didnât really need any change to begin with (ratings gap widened after the gimmicks were introduced)
Itâs an 11 year old gameshow. These shows have a use by date.
The UK versions longevity Iâd suggest is largely down to the Bradley Walsh and his back and forth with the Chasers and contestants. Something our version lacks.
7news.com.auâs Liam Clarkson spoke to Anne, Mara and Brydon, and EP Andrea Williams, on why more men apply to be on The Chase than women.
Theyâre still persisting with it?
The promo or the show? We know it will come back since the Upfront.
Yes, the show is coming back in 2026 with new episodes. If it wasnât coming back, it wouldnât have been announced at Upfronts 2026 this year.
I reckon theyâre working on a replacement to be launched during the Commonwealth Games.. Iâm hoping at least.
Considering Anne has been here for two filming sessions throughout the year, The Chase was always going to be back for 2026.
The question is whether there will be âfilming sessionsâ during 2026 for 2027?
