Or perhaps it’s not the full year.. maybe they’re working on something else to be premiered at a strategic point, say after the Commonwealth Games?

Probably because ratings make the difference.

Then again, we have TPA promoting $100k episode a full week before airing.

And I think people will get tired of watching counter shelves move backwards and forwards with Tipping Point before too long, and people will come back to The Chase.

Perhaps they could also have a few Celebrity “The Chase” specials on weeknights to regenerate interest in the show?

I’d say this is what Seven are banking on. Plus they probably have no idea what to put in its place as the new “hit” format hasn’t yet presented itself

If the Money Spinner has been dropped as suggested above, hopefully they’ve gone back to basics as the show didn’t really need any change to begin with (ratings gap widened after the gimmicks were introduced)

It’s an 11 year old gameshow. These shows have a use by date.

The UK versions longevity I’d suggest is largely down to the Bradley Walsh and his back and forth with the Chasers and contestants. Something our version lacks.

Yes, the show is coming back in 2026 with new episodes. If it wasn’t coming back, it wouldn’t have been announced at Upfronts 2026 this year.

Considering Anne has been here for two filming sessions throughout the year, The Chase was always going to be back for 2026.

The question is whether there will be “filming sessions” during 2026 for 2027?

Brydon posted on Instagram this afternoon that filming on season 16 had finished. He included a photo of himself, Larry and the production crew, plus full size cardboard cutouts of other Chasers.
