The Chase Australia

Thank you so much for the responses. I remember reading about it a while ago. I didnt think it would end up being a disclaimer.

So they just add it on top of what was already won? Is that just done by default now?

If only they had a mechanism within the main game to boost the cash that could be won hey. Ruins it if teams know nobody needs to take the high offer to put an extra $50k in the pot.

I think u need to get 15 steps in the final chase to have a shot at the big prizes on the spin. Last night they only got $12k even after getting 21 steps

Yeh don’t think it is ruined, I think it’s just used as a bonus…pretty lame gimmick NUNtheless

Promo for “the biggest cash prize in Chase history”. No indication of when.

Mega Money Spinner will return in 2025, according to a short promo shown tonight during My Kitchen Rules.

Why are they persisting with that gimmick? It doesn’t really add much. But then again, it is a quick spin anyway.

Are they using it every show?

The only gimmick the UK version has is the occassional playful selection of contestants - Ravi, Oli, Liz, Anya for example.

The following week on 18 December Season 6 will premiere in these markets.

Again Sydney and Melbourne will miss out.

I think it’s only airing in the other markets as filler programming so as to get the network schedule back into sync by the late evening/early morning following the cricket (though I might also be wrong).

So is Anne the only UK Chaser still regularly appearing?

The UK version has introduced a new twist in their Celebrity Christmas special where the Chaser makes an offer to the finalists to buy back a losing finalist (in this case £3k from a £13k prize fund to go from 2 to 3 players).

New episodes return on Monday January 13, along with the Mega Money Spinner.

Promo just aired during Seven’s cricket coverage featuring Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith and Nathan Lyon.

It’d a shame the Chaser hasn’t appeared on The Chase.

Or a Beat the Chasers special - The Chasers vs The Chase

Wonder if this may incline Nine to keep Tipping Point on as new episodes during the Australian Open.
