The Chase Australia

Exactly - the modified format and episodes were clearly produced and filmed when they were losing to Tipping Point.

They did the same with the double trouble, and they lost viewers. When the Olympics were on, people saw the old format was back and stayed with it for a bit.

Now it looks like viewers will go back to Tipping Point (even though I don’t see the excitement in it) now they can see that Seven are going to be messing around with the format again.

I don’t mind the “Shark” appearance on the Friday Nighty Footy (AFL), as it’s usually a quick segment and plug. Last night was light-hearted and a “stitch up” with Richardson.

I just hope that not many “Spin the Wheel” episodes were filmed. Just like “Double the chasers”. How many of those were filmed/aired? 5-10? And spread over a month?

I agree with the limited Spin to win would be better. Double Trouble had a very limited run - also both these gimmicks don’t really affect the result at all…they still played against ONE chaser (Final chase) in Double version. They still have the same amount of steps/against the same amount - no additional advantage, just money - which means we can expect more producing of low offers during the “Cash Grab” eps. Lame

That’s because Richo & Hodge have a rivalry with the Chase questions in the post match, so Richo wanted to have a question about him being better

The last couple of weeks have been The Chase’s lowest ratings since before Easter. After the Olympics boosts they’ve been slowly dropping. With Daylight Savings starting soon both shows will probably lose viewers to outdoor activities.

Absolutely - the $1million dollar promo comes to mind plus some episodes get a separate promo

I suspect they may have been filmed just over a month ago. Mark was in the country not long ago so a few of his episodes may have included a few of the upcoming specials.

A promo had Larry with his gold Logie

I thought it worked really well.

It was great. Didn’t affect how the game is played in any way. A fun addition.

Made little to no difference on ratings though, Tipping Point still overall - Metro larger win by NINE.

TP won nationally by 2k. TC won nationally excluding streaming by 12k. TP probably won metro given they won nationally

I don’t think Seven would be ‘happy’, given all that promotion including heavily during AFL finals. Surely would’ve been expecting a win at a bare minimum. Probably shows the work required and TP’s work already paying off. Great to see such competition at 5pm.

They’d have wanted a win for sure (though that can be said for any program on any network)

2k margin for a 9 year old show vs a 7 month old show isn’t too bad. Be interesting to see if the margin increases though as the week continues

Metro Total TV numbers were 445,000 (TP) to 415,000.

Metro without streaming probably a closer win to TP? Maybe 15-20k instead of 30k

Broadcast numbers are here, including each metro market

At the end of the show, at the bottom of the screen, there’s a message saying “All answers are correct at time of recording”. But the last two nights, there was extra message below it. But i was too slow in reading it. Is it anything “riveting”?

Disclaimer saying that the program is not associated with “The Chaser” (the comedy group)

Probably something added in relation to this:
