With the Shark as the first chaser.
It’s so dark. The lighting is pretty shocking. Looks so dull.
Larry’s voice sounds quite faint and lifeless compared to what he’s usually like during The Morning Show, IMO.
Though I guess in comparison Andrew’s voice was very loud so Larry’s is really probably not too bad.

I’m sure he’ll improve but so far Larry is very dull. There appears to be no sense of urgency that Andrew brought to the role. I’m sure it’s something to get used to but Larry is speaking very slowly and softly.

I disagree. Sure, he’s more subtle than AOK was but I think he’s stepped right into the role well.

And I’d rather him do it without any of the gimmicks or stupid voices that AOK seems to have carried over from Deal or No Deal.
It can only get better from here, one would hope.

How long before today’s ep will be available on 7+ ?
I think Seven have hit the pause button on uploading non-Olympic related shows onto 7plus with maybe a couple of exceptions whilst the Olympics are on. I wouldn’t expect The Chase, all the news bulletins etc. to be back until August 9.

As one who actually didn’t mind AOK’s hosting, it was different to hear Larry tonight and he was definitely quite a bit softer and more dull with his style but I think he’ll get more into it and we’ll get used to it soon enough so there’s a good middle ground.
Not sure whether it was the contestants who went well tonight or whether Larry managed to get more questions in but it did feel like there were more questions throughout the night.
Will be good to see what things are like with the hour long eps again. I think I’d still prefer AOK (just talking about based on the show performance, not outside issues) because I don’t like change but it’s safe to say that he won’t be back on screens for a very long time, if ever.
It’s up now.
