The Chase Australia

One thing I’ve always hated about Seven’s promos is that they love to rehash footage from the actual show and pass it off as a ‘promo’. Can’t they be a bit more creative and produce a promo that promotes the show in an appealing way with high production values and hook the audience and their interest? Do the rehash later on.

The show does look good. Looking forward to something half decent on Seven.

What about a US talk show? Hasn’t Drew Barrymore started a new show? No idea what it’s like…

I don’t see that working

Maybe, maybe not. Other ideas?

Remember - there is also a mock schedule page…

But yes, i do agree that something needs to be done, rather than airing double The Chase UK, as much as i love this version.

I hope that the Beat the Chaser specials works out. Glad there is new programs in primetime for November.

You get your wish - Beat the Chasers premieres next Sunday (November 1) at 7pm according to a new promo shown tonight during Seven News Melbourne. I reckon Seven will promote the hell out of it during tomorrow’s AFL Grand Final broadcast.

How does The Chase only air for 30 minutes?

Perhaps a repeat of a 30 minute episode from the past to accommodate Seven’s AFL and horse racing telecasts.

Sorry I know this is in the wrong topic so mods feel free to move the posts, but how does a 30 minute episode work? Are there only two contestants?

Yes there are only two contestants in the 30 minute episode.

News Corp and Seven are promoting a home viewer competition during Beat the Chasers, in which you can win your share of $50,000.

Im enjoying “Beat the Chasers” overall. The new format is different to the weekday version. The top 7 winners of the series go into the Grand Final (assuming its the last Sunday of the ratings year?).

One downside of the show is that there are way too many commercials. Can easily be a one hour show.

When in the time of Covid was this filmed? The Chasers have screens and there’s social distancing between Andrew and the contestant, but there’s a rather large audience?

Interesting that they had Millionaire Hot Seat question writer David Poltorak on this show. It was a rather big television event in 1986 when David set a world record by winning all the prizes and the cash jackpot on Sale of the Century. Genius of Seven to introduce him as a contestant on tonight’s show and have him come back to face all four chasers next week for $150,000. It has sucked me in. It has been many, many years since I looked forward to watching anything on Seven.
