The Celebrity Apprentice

She will probably be the most interesting one.

She’s probably there for ratings and for the younger people to watch…

Oh she’s not the receptionist?

She is a drag performer and social media star. Give Carla a Google.

I’ve seen the videos on Tik Tok. Some are funny but dome are a bit long and repetitive. But the one I saw the other day where she’s talking to Gladys on the phone about how bad it is being Dom’s secretary now was quite funny.

I really don’t think that stuff is enough to qualify as a celebrity.

A celebrity is a well known person. Carla is well known. Been on A Current Affair multiple times.

If A Current Affair is your base of what makes a celebrity, then we might just be in trouble.

So everyone that appears on ACA is now a celebrity? What?

A well known person would be someone that the majority of the population know of.

I mean, if that’s the case then we should get this guy onboard as well:

Him barking at Lord Sugar would be worth the price of admission.

Or, even better, he can win every challenge by doing what he does best.

The meaning of celebrity is a famous person rather than just a well known person. It was generally used to describe people who have achieved something in the worlds of entertainment and sport. With these reality shows using anyone and everyone, the term has certainly lost its true meaning.

Pretty much. Most of the “Celebrities” which have appeared on recent celebrity “reality” shows are either not all that famous (I live in Sydney yet probably wouldn’t have a clue who “Carla from Bankstown” is, if not for this forum) or are washed up has-beens from years ago!

Then again, you can hardly expect the likes of Hugh Jackman or Nicole Kidman to appear on these sorts of programs…

It’s an Australian TV show, Australia’s celebrities are all overseas.

True, most of our real stars fled this country for LA or London years ago.

New star contenders join Lord Sugar in the Boardroom

After a record-breaking return last year, Celebrity Apprentice Australia will be back on Channel 9 in 2022, bringing together more of the country’s biggest names to battle it out in the boardroom.

The celebrities, divided into two teams, will take on a range of epic tasks to avoid billionaire boss Lord Alan Sugar’s firing squad, while using their business savvy and little black book of contacts to raise money for their chosen charities.

After the celebrities raised close to $1 million last year, the charities will again be the real winners. In addition to the $100,000 in prizemoney for the winner’s charity, generous donations from celebrity contacts and guest appearances will also add to the money raised throughout the series.

The personal stakes will be higher too as big egos, high-pressure situations, and exciting new game play ramps up the competition between the celebrities. There are sure to be more explosive moments and twists and turns on the road to the winner being crowned the Celebrity Apprentice.

Stepping up to the plate as Lord Sugar’s new recruits are:

  • One of Australia’s most inspirational women, author and motivational speaker, Turia Pitt
  • KIIS FM National Drive Hosts, Will and Woody
  • Dual Olympic gold medallist and world champion swimmer, Bronte Campbell
  • Logie Award-winning actress, model and Australian sweetheart, Jodi Gordon
  • Rugby league great and Wests Tigers legend, Benji Marshall
  • Real Housewives of Melbourne star, Gamble Breaux
  • Married at First Sight’s most controversial bride and socialite, Beck Zemek
  • Hollywood actor and Australian Film Institute award winner, Vince Colosimo
  • Winner of X-Factor, ARIA Award winner and singer-songwriter, Samantha Jade
  • A queen of Australian comedy, trailblazer and author, Jean Kittson
  • Renowned television presenter and actor, Darren McMullen
  • Face of Givenchy and international supermodel, Jarrod Scott
  • Secretary to former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and social media sensation, Carla from Bankstown
  • One of The Block’s most successful all-stars and renovation expert, Ronnie Caceres
  • Two-time Australian Ninja Warrior semi-finalist and former international NRL star, Eloni Vunakece

Celebrity Apprentice Australia has commenced filming and will go to air in 2022.

Celebrity Apprentice Australia is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia for the 9Network, based on the format created by Mark Burnett and distributed by MGM.

Now that is something that will be worth watching for sure :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Quite tragic when you can only recognise three, maybe four, of “the country’s biggest names” in that photo.
