The Bold & The Beautiful

You didn’t know that soap actors stay on their soaps for decades? Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne just celebrated 25 years on Neighbours. Wow, wow and a half.

Oh, of course. I just didn’t realise she was still on, Steffy had some great storylines when I watched

Yeah it’s common on the daytime soaps. Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) on Days of Our Lives has been on there for 46 years straight or something. A lot of the other current cast go back decades as well even if they’ve had breaks between stints.

In comparison, Days of Our Lives and The Young and The Restless still have months of episodes to air in the US and Australia.

My all time favourite characters Sally Spectra and Stephanie Forrester should feature in some classic episodes…those ladies had legendary fights😂

You love a good scrag fight? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Let’s face it this show is full of scrag fights :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not to mention this show is also the one of the world’s longest staring contests since 1987.

Longest? Never heard of The Young and the Restless, General Hospital and Days of Our Lives?

Oh definitely!
Never had a scrag fight myself :face_with_hand_over_mouth:but enjoying watching them!

It’s years since I’ve watched it but scrag fights have arguably always been the best part of the show. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes, it wasn’t a criticism, I just never realised  I used to really enjoy it around a decade ago.

The clashes between Brooke and Taylor were memorable, as were Brooke vs Stephanie.

CBS has been airing “classic” episodes of both The Bold and The Beautiful and The Young and The Restless on Fridays for the past two weeks so as to conserve their bank of episodes during the production shut down.

Victor and Nikki’s first Y&R wedding was re-broadcast the first week (originally aired in the U.S. in April 1984). An episode featuring Drucilla and Neil’s honeymoon and Jill informing John Abbott about her pregnancy after he’d had a vasectomy aired the second week. Bold has been airing more recent “classics”- 30th anniversary special and an episode shot in Paris in 2014.

Couldn’t resist the walk down memory lane and watched the Y&R classics on Sunday afternoon. Ended up researching what became of some of the characters and actors. Apart from some flashback eps featuring some long term characters (Kay’s death, Nikki reminiscing while in jail), I haven’t watched the show for a couple of decades.

I am always interested in watching B&B. It’s so funny and stupid.

10 will run out of new episodes of B&B very soon. The last new episode prior to coronavirus shutdown is scheduled for tomorrow (April 23) US time.

As posted previously, 10 has already bought some classic episodes of B&B and will show them once new episodes run out.

TV Tonight already revealed last week that 10 has purchased selected classic episodes to air when new ones run out.

It was you who posted it here.
