The Bachelorette 2020: Sisters Elly and Becky Miles announced as suitors

Double The Romance. Double The Love

Elly And Becky Miles Named As The Bachelorettes.

In an Australian first, The Bachelorette Australia will boast double the dates, double the roses and, of course, double the romance when sisters and best friends, Elly and Becky Miles, embark on their very special quest for true love.

Although Elly and Becky have the same family tree, their taste in men could not be more different.

But don’t fret, TV’s very own cupid, Osher Günsberg, is on the case to ensure there will be Prince Charming’s-aplenty, ready to sweep these two talented, accomplished and gorgeous ladies off their feet.

Having captivated Australia’s hearts on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor Australia, 25-year-old country nurse Elly, is taking the reins and seizing her chance at finding Mr. Right.

To capture Elly’s heart, our Bachelor’s will need to be adventurous, positive, kind-natured, and always up for a laugh.

Joining Elly on the romantic journey of a lifetime is her 30-year-old sister Becky. Having recently had her heart broken, Becky is ready to risk it all for love again. She is hoping to find a respectful, kind and devoted Bachelor, who is willing to put her first.

Born and raised in Parkes, NSW, Elly and Becky have always supported and empowered each other to take on new experiences and adventures. But something tells us this will be their biggest adventure yet.

On becoming The Bachelorette, Elly, said: “I crave a life filled with happiness, adventure and good times. I’m looking for my best mate to share those memories with.

“I feel extremely blessed to be on this unique ride with Becky. Having her love, support and guidance throughout this journey is so important to me and I can’t wait to be there for her, on her journey to find love as well.”

Sister and fellow Bachelorette, Becky, said: “I’m on this journey to find someone who will go that extra mile, to have fun with, and be my best friend.

“I’m so blessed to share this journey with my sister, and I am hopeful that we find our people together.”

From breath-taking dates to romantic rose ceremonies, season six of The Bachelorette Australia, will follow Elly and Becky as they date the nation’s most eligible Bachelors, hoping to find someone to bring home to the Miles’ family gatherings.

Interesting move. Not sure how the dating will work. Will a bachelor have to take Elly and Becky on a double date?

Are you suggesting a threesome? Naughty @JohnsonTV. Keep your fantasies out of it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’d say there’s a pool of blokes to choose from and they just reject the ones that neither is interested in. Then maybe they split the remaining ones when they get towards the end.

This is so random. Not really interested to be honest. Elly is such a boring choice.

Yeah, sure. Then you’ll just just watch every single episode as usual.

People complain about the show just being same same every year but when they do something different like this, they whinge.

Interetsting move. Not a bad idea having two Bachelorette’s/ I really thought Britney - from the current Bach in Paradise - would have been a better choice.

Love the idea of the sisters!!! But agree that Brit would have been better

Perhaps Brit is otherwise engaged

There is something about Brittney that I think would really resonate with the Australian audience. I think they should really consider her for their next series.

Ed Kavalee claimed on Hughesy and Ed yesterday that Becky Miles was in a relationship until recently but ended it purely so she could appear on The Bachelorette.

10’s head of entertainment and factual programs Stephen Tate briefly discussed Osher’s schedule clash with Mediaweek yesterday, as Osher hosts both The Bachelorette and The Masked Singer.

It’s a juggle. We will have to find some creative workarounds for the production of The Bachelorette. He will certainly have a presence throughout the entire series of The Masked Singer. He has the energy of 10 hosts. What helps us face the logistical issues is that Warner Bros is the producer of both shows which will help make it work.

I think the “creative turnarounds” mean Osher won’t be present at every episode of The Bachelorette. For example, the bachelors will be handed out date cards by the producers and someone else will introduce challenges for the bachelors. But Osher should be in attendance at the rose ceremony.

Dancing with the Stars judge Sharna Burgess has told American magazine Us Weekly she was indeed approached by the producers to be this year’s bachelorette before the COVID-19 pandemic, but turned down the offer given she lives in the US and it “didn’t feel right” doing the show in Australia. Sharna said she would be interested to appear on the US version of The Bachelorette, and would also be watching the upcoming season with the Miles sisters.

When GĂźnsberg completes the show (The Masked Singer) and returns to Sydney, he must then undergo a further two weeks of isolation. But he assured that filming on The Bachelorette , also made by Warner Bros., has not entailed another host in his place.

Just goes to show that Ten are too reliant on a handful of talent.

Could they not just use Osher over a screen or something. Or even just edit it in after? It’s not like he is really needed for the show to continue.

Maybe he’s hosting via zoom. Or maybe they plan to film him and edit him him into the rose ceremonies at a later date. It wouldn’t be that hard to do if it’s a handful of episodes.

Apparently they were already going to start filming without him for a couple of weeks and slot in his segments later. They might just do more of it that way.

10 confirmed to Sunday Herald Sun that Osher would continue to host this season. 10 said in a statement yesterday: “He will not appear in some of the later episodes due to quarantine restrictions.”

Has Ten actuallly started filming The Bachelorette?
