The Bachelorette

What? Couldn’t get any really interested from the remaining states or something? :stuck_out_tongue:

##australia, Meet Your Bachelors

Premieres Wednesday 21 September at 7.30pm

Network Ten is delighted to reveal the identities of the 16 Bachelors who are ready to put everything on the line to win the heart of our new Bachelorette, Georgia Love, in the new season of The Bachelorette Australia, premiering on Wednesday 21 September at 7.30pm.

Ranging in age from 26 to 35, this year’s Bachelors hail from both city and country and come from all walks of life. But they all have one thing in common: they are ready to find “the one”.

Georgia will welcome these desirable men into the Bachelorette mansion for glittering cocktail parties and also invite them to take part in a series of memorable dates, ranging from the high-adrenaline to the heartfelt.

Meet the Bachelors who are in the running to win Georgia’s love:

Queensland is the state best represented, with six Bachelors hailing from the Sunshine State: marketing company CEO Aaron, medical sales rep Clancy, personal trainer Dale, sales professional Jake, entrepreneur Rhys and employment coach Tommy.

Miner Ben, industrial designer Courtney, marketing manager Matty J and electrician Sam are the four Bachelors from NSW. From Victoria we have entrepreneur Carlos, mechanical plumber Lee and security specialist Matt D.

Firefighter Cam and sailing coach Ryan have crossed the Nullabor from Western Australia to look for love. And wellness coach Jay is our South Australian Bachelor.

Looking towards the Bachelors’ arrivals, Georgia said: “You can have the butterflies with the fireworks and fairy lights, but if you can strip all that back and still the get the butterflies when that person walks through the door, that’s what I want. That’s what I’m looking for and I just hope that person is going to step out of the limo.”

The Bachelorette Australia promises to be one of the most exciting and romantic television events of the year, one will have the country tuning in to follow Georgia’s journey to find love.

Already married to sisters/cousins.

I know I’m being shallow here but overall it’s a better looking cast than the previous Bachelorette. I’m got my eye on Sam. :stuck_out_tongue:

Noticeably a little bigger cast too than last time, and I’m guessing there will probably be a couple of intruders at some point to make this season a little longer.

An Aussie reality TV show would be incomplete with out them!

Ten has managed to secure more sponsors for The Bachelorette (seven) than The Bachelor (six) and they are totally different.
The Bachelor: Wrigley’s EXTRA, Menulog, U By Kotex, REST Industry Super, Dyson and Lindt
The Bachelorette: Oral B, Maybelline, Chemist Warehouse, KFC, Kettle, Häagen-Dazs and Renault

Anyone noticed how The Bachelorette has attracted not just more, but also more ‘major’ sponsors?

Perhaps because it’s a newer show, rated higher & is more anticipated? Or are they aiming for different demographics?

(e.g.) KFC, Chemist Warehouse, Maybelline.

I always thought Bachelor got lots of blokes tuning-in (the women/drama) & Bachelorette had lots of women tuning in (the men)?

I just thought they had the same target audience to be honest.

My facebook feed would totally dismiss more ‘blokes’ tuning in to the Bachelor.

I think it’s because The Bachelorette gets a bit of an advantage coming straight off the back of The Bachelor finale so likely to do a bit better. Plus lets get real… I’m sure Georgia Love is far more entertaining than Richie was.

Both are aimed at a female demo.
Richie was a poor casting choice. He was boring on The Bachelorette and even more so as the Bachelor. A fresh face was needed on the back of recycling Sam Frost.

The Bachelorette is usually a shorter season as they dont have as many suitors for some reason.

True. Good points guys :+1:

Remember though, Network Ten announced late last year, that this season of The Bachelorette will be a full-length series (following its success).

They did. Which is why I find it strange that they only have 16 contestants/bachelors compared to the 22 in the Bachelor.

They probably get significantly less people applying for the Bachelorette than the Bachelor, so as a result the casting pool isn’t as big and the cast is smaller. I’m sure there will be intruders anyway to stretch it out a little longer.

That didn’t take long!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Loved it. The episode did drag a little bit too long but Georgia Love seems like a heap of fun. Looking forward to the season, a few good looking lads on there. :stuck_out_tongue:

I haven’t seen it yet. I will catch up tonight.

So that’s why the ratings were down! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just a coincidence? I think not. I am The Bachelor’s audience :stuck_out_tongue:

Just goes to show yet again that Twitter “trendings” means very little to actual TV ratings (who would’ve guessed ) with the first outing rating very ordinary.

Interesting to see if it receives any sort of boost on its second outing.
