Any idea how far they are into the season? If it’s near the end I assume they’d also have decoy team(s).
Given the season began in Vancouver two weeks ago (see Phil’s Instagram video above), I’d say they are nearly two-thirds into the race.
How interested are advertisers going to be in a show that airs at 11:30pm though
Apparently it is the 10th leg of the race. So probably only 4 or 5 teams left (when I walked around Carton gardens, I could only find 3 teams being interviewed in different spots).
I would assume that they are likely doing 2 of the last legs in Australia before finishing back in the USA, so will be interested to see where the next leg is. As it’s their first time in here, you never know they could do another leg in Victoria (maybe head out Great Ocean Road or something?).
Look, the Big Brother US All-Star season was never gonna fly down here - not to mention how they’ve limited travel to around Europe, and how it’s airing against the more publicised Aussie version.
But a big proper globe-trotting season, airing away from the Aussie version should do ok.
That’s what I was hoping but I thought it may be too far. No doubt whatever they do they’ll be highlighting Melbourne/Victoria seeing they’ve never been here before.
Presumably they flew into Tullamarine, then they would’ve caught a train into Melbourne CBD. Oh wait…
Man armed with a gun arrested in Melbourne CBD after dramatic police chase
A gunman dressed in a suit has been arrested in Melbourne’s CBD after a string of car jackings and wild police chase, leaving passers-by stunned.
Probably not the best day for them to be in Melbourne CBD.
I would say this would be on the cards. Might be tomorrow night.
Apparently the task at the MCG was similar to the one that featured in the series premiere of The Amazing Race Australia in 2011.
The teams didn’t stick around in Australia for another leg. This afternoon they headed off to Christchurch, New Zealand.
No wonder Seven is pushing the 7plus option, as each episode will now be shown on TV two weeks after the US, starting next Wednesday.
Doesn’t matter if almost no one is watching. Nice of Seven to still try after all these years rather than burn it off after midnight or on a multi-channel.
Sure, but it’s not likely to be a feature of their upfronts (ie appeal to advertisers)
I didn’t take that was a serious comment re: upfront.
The time to do that would have been any time in the past 20 years. Twenty seasons on, it seems a bit redundant and Seven probably doesn’t want to make too much noise about a franchise that a rival network has local rights to.
Two episodes of season 38 on Seven this week.
Thanks for the heads up.
With the extra episode does this mean we’ve now caught up?
The TV broadcast is still one week behind 7plus.
