Former Fitzroy player Ross Thornton, who competed in season 2 of The Amazing Race Australia with daughter Tarryn, died on last Thursday (April 25) after a battle with cancer.
Ross and Tarryn were eliminated in 8th place in Turkey in episode 6.

funny we havent had a cast announcement or more leaks
I have seen some of the cast leaked online today. An Instagram page I follow had some blurry photos of the start line where they could work out some names:
Cyrell and Eden (MAFS / Love Island)
Luke Mcgregor and his mum
Nat Bass and her sister
Billy Brownless and his son
Ian Thorpe and another guy
Jett and Lily (apparently a reality star and girlfriend)
Peter Hellier and his wife
I thought I could see Shannon the former Biggest Loser trainer but not 100% sure on him.

It is Jett Kenny and influencer girlfriend Lily Brown. They celebrated their one-year anniversary at the end of 2023.
Jett of course appeared most recently in the reboot of Gladiators as Viking.

How long is the filming of the season? Cause isn’t Thorpe part of 9 for the Olympics and also the swimming qualifiers early June?

I absolutely hate when people bag out a celebrity cast because they don’t know who they are. Not trying to do that but can anyone let me know who Bam Bam and Logan, and Havana and Steph are.

Seems as though Billy and Oscar Brownless will make it to the final stages of the race. Billy last appeared on his radio show on May 1 and it was mentioned today that he’s only just arrived back in Melbourne.
In past seasons, all the contestants were there at the final leg to see who wins. They might be doing that again this year.
