The Amazing Race Australia

Thank fuck that Dolor got eliminated. What a horrible person.

Ten are hopeless. They just spoilt the elimination by running a promo for next episode in the last commercial break revealing the losers.

There were only two teams left at that stage: Brandon&Jackson and Holly&Dolor. The promo showed a showdown between Brandon&Jackson and Chris&Aleisha in the next episode. So obviously the cowboys were still in it. What a stuff up!

Lucky that promo ad didn’t air here in regional SA via WIN.

Luckily that promo didn’t air on 10Play, where you can watch at your convenience.

We also didn’t get it in Queensland.

This is what was shown in Sydney

I saw the showdown promo in Melbourne but didn’t notice the two teams involved.

Dolor deserved to go because he didn’t want to cooperate with Holly at the chocolate licking detour. That and their drive to neighbour’s house looking for Chilli’s (goat) shelter for the next clue cost them valuable time.

Or almost every other challenge. :stuck_out_tongue:

Either Dolor was a paid actor - something that wouldn’t surprise me with the way the producers have behaved this season - or he’s about to complain about ‘bad editing’ on the show. For a team that calls themselves a ‘power couple’ nothing could be further from the truth. I found myself watching them solely to see what moronic comment this guy would come out with next.

They don’t give themselves those labels. The show does. I saw in an interview where they said that they themselves don’t understand why that label was chosen for them.

10 are now running promos for the countdown to the finals. I think there are still 8 episodes left which would be half (or more than half) of a normal season. I’m guessing the next couple of legs will be non-elimination.

I loved waiting to see what new thing Dolor was a self-proclaimed expert at :grinning: I think last episode he was the “best athlete” on the show as well as being a maths wiz.

They were on Studio 10 this morning - so somehow still together; talking about not letting their children watch the show.

Love to see that cap but via WIN, who no doubt would have their own mapping about TARA’s one.

Another non elimination ffs this is insufferable.

Tonight’s episode saw the six remaining teams doing an intersection task at the Bush Inn in New Norfolk in central Tasmania. This was first reported back on November 5, 2020.

Why did the producers set up an intersection task of eating fresh oysters, knowing that Chris and Aleisha are vegans? Also, how did the farmers grow apples with a dyed black core?

My point exactly when watching this tonight? Surely they could’ve eaten something else.

And we’ll be hearing about how unfair it is all through the next episode, no doubt.

After the episode aired, Chris posted on his Instagram on why he and Aleisha did not eat the oysters during Intersection.

Why didn’t we eat the oysters?

We went onto the Race knowing that there might be a challenge where we would have to eat an animal or animal parts. We decided to work out what to do at each challenge at the time, based on our position and the implications of not doing the challenge.

Arriving at the pub we were last, and we had to team up with Brenden & Jackson. Both them & us were the slowest 2 teams at the weet-bix, with us being there over an hour. The Cowboys also attempted the German Sausage challenge and had to quit and change detours.

It could take hours.
Previously penalties have been 20-30 minutes.

So if we did the challenge, we’d leave at the same time as each other and battle for last.
If we tactically took a penalty, we’d leave at the same time as each other and battle for last.

Additional info:
We were pretty sure this was a non-elimination, and we don’t want to be sick next leg for no reason.

Answering a fan’s question, Chris added:

Aleisha has never been able to stomach an oyster, and I haven’t had one (for) 7 years.

Synopses for next week
Sunday 14 March
Beginning in Hobart, teams will head to historic Ross to compete in a challenge of strength and stamina — all while shackled and dressed as convicts. At a Roadblock, they will face ravenous Tasmanian devils and will entice them some tasty treats through an obstacle course to find their next clue.
One team will be hit with a dreaded U-Turn that will change the course of the race.

Monday 15 March
In a series of quirky challenges, the teams’ patience is tested as completing the peculiar tasks is the only way to reach their next clues in the Race.
(Teams travelled from Launceston to Newcastle and Hunter Valley)

Tuesday 16 March
A final nail bitting Road Block forces the teams to walk across a suspended ladder bridge that hangs 80 metres off the ground and into the abyss of the mountains.

This is annoying but shouldn’t be surprising anymore. There are still 7 episodes to go with 6 teams, which means 4 non-elimination episodes remain (assuming it’s a final 3). I didn’t even bother watching on Tuesday as it was obviously going to be non-elimination and I’m guessing at least 2 out of the next 3 will be non-elimination as well. I’ve completely lost interest in this season.

Thank god MJ and Chelsea have been u turned. Can’t stand them.

Just need either then or Chris and alisha to go. That alisha is such a whiner.

Half decent episode tonight. Structured like a normal episode of amazing race.
