I am always sick of 10s promos, for every show they do. But it worked for I’m a celebrity, survivor and Masterchef. Among many others. It is the same strategy as all of those shows.
There seems to have been a new promo released every second day.
I don’t like thd excessive amounts of promos either but these predictions are flawed. Why do people keep predicting a show is going to flop because a network promotes it too much? When has that ever proven to be true? Never.
I feel like Holey Moley will end up like that show Celebrity Splash . Are people really going to watch people play mini golf for 1.5 hrs?
So much optimism for a new format.
No one ever complained about Ninja Warrior which is similar and at times ran for 2 hrs.
Because Ninja Warrior was a million times more interesting than Holey Moley looks.
I think it’s best if we give the show a go first and then make judgments. Promos only show so much of the show.
Same applies with The Amazing Race. Some are writing it off based on duration and promos but I think it’s best to see the first episode to see how this season is looking.
Agree to disagree. I’m of the impression that Holey Moley is a somewhat fun and unique light entertainment show. Ninja is becoming far too OTT and repetitive these days.
I complain about every show that runs for over 60 minutes with ads. It turns me off FTA if I have to commit to 2 hours a night.
Are any of the contestants gay this year?
Before someone calls me out of ‘why does it matter’, well yes positive representation and visibility always matters.
From the promos there is a quite obvious one without them specifically stating it.
I don’t like to make assumptions JBar, but yes I did notice who you mentioned.
I’ve read the profiles and Alex mentions accepting and loving who he is now, which is usually coded for, finally I’m out and proud, though again it’s an assumption.
Though with 14 teams I did expect a same sex relationship team. Diversity isn’t just about race, but in the Australian tv landscape and BLM that’s all everyone seems to care about which is sad especially to the LGBT community that has always been marginalised.
Salvage was last used on season 2 in 2012.

Watching them is optional.
Think this will settle around the 600 mark. Thoughts?
I absolutely hate these rules. So you can essentially win The Amazing Race by running only half of the legs if you are a strong team that keeps coming first. I don’t mind the salvage or sabotage rules but maybe just that should be given to the winners of the legs instead of giving them a leg off.
It’s only for non-elimination legs.
90 mins too long. Editing isn’t tight off. Lacks the fast pace of the US version.
