Nine won’t allow Hamish to appear
Huge audience of 684,000 for the launch - should be big in catch up and VOZ ratings as well.

I thought it would do well but didn’t think it would get this much. Thought it would do 520-570k. Getting almost 700k is brilliant
Remember how 1 million used to be the bar for a good premiere? Crazy how audiences have shrunk on linear platforms.
Will watch this tonight - happy the reaction here seems to be positive.
I totally agree. The magic million mark was the benchmark back in the hey day. These days, is 500k, and anything above that is “huge”.
Good to see a good chunk of the reviews for the launch of Thank God to be very positive. Doesn’t happen that often.
Streaming sevices, shit decisions by tv executives and more, have played well into diminishing tv audiences.
To be honest, i didn’t enjoy the first ep. Will give the second one a go next week.
Looking at the reported ratings on the Wiki thread, it’s amazing to see how much the TV landscape has changed in the last 17 years.
VOZ ratings would play a vital part in overnight ratings now considering some people don’t have access to aerial FTA anymore.
And apart from that Ten probably couldn’t afford him now
I’m hoping for Shaun Micallef to return . Not sure what he has been up to since his show finished on the ABC . He was so funny when he was on .
But Hamish did celeb Gogglebox during LM
Shaun said last weekend on News Breakfast he was working on some projects with the ABC, but considering he’s been on both the ABC and 10 at the same time previously, I can’t imagine that would stop him from doing TGYH.
He was also on ABC and Nine at the same time with Mad As Hell and TAYG.
I thought that was because he was contracted to ITV which produced both shows.
Anyway great start to the show and it did not disappoint quality wise. As for more Working Dog reboots, perhaps we’re ready for Russell Coight 3.0 on Sunday or Thursday at 8.30?
Wonder if Seven would allow Sam Pang (and the likes of Mick Molloy) to appear? Although Sam is also at 10 with HYBPA, but did that not start before Front Bar and Seven kind of just had to accept/agree to allow him on both, as opposed to new shows from now?
How the hell was TGYH No. 2 in 2007 when it was well up on 2006 to a series high!? Wonder what show beat it?
He’s not on a network contract though is he?
This show is by Working Dog - same as HYBPA, so I doubt there’d be any issues.
Here’s an idea I’d love to see - a HYBPA and Cheap Seats themed show where the hosts of both shows are the contestants.
Same here. He played a childrens show presenter one time which was absolutely hilarious. It was on YouTube but unfortunately it isn’t on there anymore.

That confirms this season will have eight episodes.
I’m pretty sure Sam Pang is Freelance, as he works with 10 & 7 and has also worked on other projects involving other networks. I don’t see why he couldn’t make an appearance.
