- What did they gain from this?
- Just look at this
- What’s with the music?
- Why do they have a TikTok going in the background?
- This is actually hilarious!

it will be a 100% political decision. I think he will do it.
The reason the premiers are popular is because they haven’t been afraid to make big, bold decisions. Even if people don’t like the decisions they can at least appreciate the leadership and willingness to put some skin in the game.
The reason for the feds unpopularity is because of their indecisiveness and delegation of responsibility. This is a chance to make up some ground.
and on the issue itself, there is something for everyone. The right can take the strong border angle, the left can take the pro-vax angle and the centrists can take the anti-elite angle.
Unless if money comes into it.
I know… it’s very odd.
Its like they’re treating him like a god.
So basically they are now trying to prove that he didn’t have covid?
They’re digging for reasons he can be deported that may not need the minister to exercise his power
The claim is that he lied about his movements prior to travel.
… it appears he made a false declaration claiming he had not travelled in the 14 days leading up to his arrival in Melbourne.
Djokovic ticked “No” in response to the question which appears to be in direct conflict with the timeline of his recent movements.
Djokovic departed Spain, bound for Australia, on January 4th with a stopover in Dubai, according to his sworn affidavit.
This would mean Djokovic would have had to be in Spain from about 11.30pm on Dec 22 AEDT which would be 1.30pm on Dec 22 Spanish time to comply with the rules not to travel within two weeks of arriving in Australia.
Social media posts show Djokovic was pictured in Belgrade Serbia on December 25 playing tennis in the street and posing with handball star Petar Djordjic.
Moving away from this whole Djokovic scandal, here’s someone who I wouldn’t mind seeing permanently retiring from tennis with that attitude
What an absolute jerk. No dignity or professionalism.
Tomic is now ranked 257 in the world (going by the article)? What a fall from grace. He hasnt shown any professionalism in years…!
Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has a difficult decision…cancel Novak’s visa and risk threatening international relations, or let him stay but allow his government to become unpopular with the Australian public, which isn’t great for them with the election only months away.
If Novak gets sent home then it is what it is, but the three year exclusion period is harsh. We shouldn’t forget Novak‘s generosity donating money to bushfire appeals, Australian charities etc. in previous years when times have been tough here down under.
I think the vaccine mandate for international arrivals is here for the long haul. They might not ban him for 3 years, but unless he gets vaccinated he’s going to need to get infected again in December to pull this off.
So someone who’s in breach of the Australian immigration laws should be exempt from punishment because he did a few good things?
I’m afraid legal matters aren’t as easy as based on merits and deeds if the nature of the breach is significant. This could end up either way if I was to be honest.
Why when we have over 500k cases right now in Australia with the majority being in NSW and VIC who have over 90% of their population vaccinated? It’s time to move to testing and isolation because clearly the vaccines are not working to stop the spread of the Omicron variant when double/triple vaxxed are still getting the virus.
Nice staged performance by the Channel 7 news readers to incite further anger in the Australian public and make it easier for Scott Morrison to deport Novak
In all honesty speaking people would’ve already made up their minds on this. It’s not like people are going to change their opinions from this kind of leak. If anything it would only incite anger from Novak fans and supporters who would be making a pretty big fuss based on this rather than get people who were supporting Novak onside to support deporting Novak.
Should the investigations find anything that suggests that he either lied or fabricated documents to get the visa then I reckon he will be tarnished goods. Won’t be a good look either way for the World’s No.1 player to be on the wrong side of the law. Even if they don’t charge him on that the people would savage him online and on the court.
For the records I don’t mind Bec and Mike voicing their opinions when it’s off-air and they have a legitimate reasoning behind it. It’s not like they did it for attention, as mentioned it’s a leak from a network insider and technically shouldn’t have existed. It’s not the first time newsreaders have incites opinions or perspectives off-air and it wasn’t intended to be aired officially.
