Has 10 drama and 10 comedy upgraded to HD in the Gold Coast via the NRN multiplex? I can’t confirm, but @Mechsta confirmed on 24 June 2025 (in the Coffs area at least):

If Coffs Harbour is, the Gold Coast would be too. It’s all the same station.
But @WAtvVideos’ XMLEPG hasn’t been updated, so that’s why I was paging Gold Coast users to double check.
Yes. Both HD.
Sorry Bastech, missed that one. It’s now updated.
Anyone noticed 10 northern NSW hasn’t been airing sponsor billboards and local news updates recently?
I watched goggle box tonight and usually there would be sponsor billboards however tonight they were replaced with the new metro idents and the local news updates were replaced with metro ones.
The Local News updates have been airing during the day still. Not sure why they have stopped the evening ones.
And i wouldn’t complain about the sponsorship endtags, they look a thousand times better!
Here in the Newcastle part of NRTV, there’s usually one sponsor billboard (still the SCA-made one with the Win voice guy) in the 4pm hour (depends on the day whether it’s in Neighbours or B&B, today it was Neighbours), and, at least the times I’ve seen that slot, the 7:30 show. There’s a lot of local updates as well, at least one per hour up untill about 11:30-11:55. The local updates have also, at least for the last month or so, also gone out on Drama.
They aired updates on Drama? SCA never did.
I wonder how they are making up for local content without the local updates. Although i’m pretty sure i heard the presenter say he would be back later so it might be a technical glitch
I’ve certainly not seen an actual news update on a multichannel, only the main HD channel.
I just checked Ten Nth NSW and I’m amazed we are STILL getting WIN Gold…
I thought Ten would have kicked that off by now… makes me think WIN are still doing playout for them and have (somehow) left it in there?
And still no Nickelodeon either.
Probably won’t change till next year now, unless it happens when the chicken noodle updates finish up for the year. Only thing that’s changed is that the Gecko EPG works again.
I can’t imagine we’d see Nickelodeon until playout and control is fully handed over from WIN to 10. Though lord knows what’s taking them so long?
The handover from SCA to WIN only took 3 months after their deal was finalised. Today we’re already at 6 months.
Perhaps WIN will bless us with another WIN Symphony Orchestra this Christmas to go out with a bang
I reckon both will go for sure. Those regional relays get little local advertising and viewership, so what’s the point in keeping those transmitters/relays going when everyone is relying on alternative option or their metro channels from the capital cities?
Firstly regarding the Gold Coast, there’s already a 10 from Brisbane beaming into the GC and most people there tune to that station on Channel 10 as opposed to the NRN Northern NSW relay on Channel 5 so viewers will notice little difference should a service be switched off. Little incentive to keep the NRN Gold Coast relay going. And despite NRN now in the hands of Ten the news updates (despite having 10 News graphics now) still screams WIN, because here’s the thing, the weather graphics, the File Vision tag and even the presenters, all those things are coming from WIN News in Wollongong.
Secondly, the Central Coast relay of NRN is not even the Central Coast station at all, it’s just a direct copy and paste of Newcastle. The TV channel name says 10HD Newcastle, the news during the noodle updates is Newcastle (from WIN Wollongong), and even the local business advertising is Newcastle, so what’s there really in terms of local for the Central Coast on NRN 10? Most people watching 10 on the Central Coast do so via the Sydney station and not through the Newcastle one. Those seeking local news on the Central Coast do so via NBN News because that is their local option and it’s nightly, plus the advertising on Nine-NBN Central Coast is also tailored to the CC region because businesses are putting their ads on there.
So I’d safely say it now, both of them will eventually be shut down. Only because there is already metro muxes being beamed into these 2 regional hotspots.

The channel numbers in Newcastle seem to have changed today. Drama has moved to 53 and there is no longer a 51, YouTV is now on 58, Gold 55, Sky 56, Gecko 57.
It matches the former Southern Cross Austereo channel configuration without a 10 HD redirect on 51, Nickelodeon on 54 and Gold on 55 instead of SBN.
Odd. They’ve corrected the channel order to match metro, but didn’t take the opportunity to align the LCN’s
x0 10 HD
x1 10 comedy
x2 10 drama
etc
Easier to just realign NNSW to match the other Regional stations, versus realigning all of them to match Metro? Still a shame, though.
Could the shuffle be a sign that they’re getting ready to transfer NNSW from WIN’s MediaHub to join the rest of 10 Regional at NPC?
