Thread for discussing Ten’s regional stations (ex SCA/WIN)
SCA signage still on 10’s Canberra offices. Mun Was driving to the outlet centre so can’t get a photo.
I noticed a 10 SCA logo on an advertisement for a football competition in the Illawarra in the last week or so.
IIRC the buildings are still ultimately SCA’s as they’re the base of their local radio stations
I’d presume 10 would either have a local journo working out of SCA’s office space, or all of their journos are based in Hobart and gathering news remotely.
I’d presume as well, Ten can use the lease payments on the shared office space as a portion of the long tail revenue share part of their purchase agreement.
SCA’s address in Ballarat per Google Maps, which would be TV only and so presumably now just Ten’s, doesn’t seem to have external branding going off street view, so there’s be nothing to chuck a Paramount logo on even if they wanted to.
While on a tour visiting my relatives on my holidays at ayr I just saw a 10 SCA logo at SCA offices in Townsville a few days ago. The 10 SCA logo is still there
That’s correct, except in the few locations where they don’t have radio stations - Canberra (the radio stations in Canberraare a joint venture with ARN so have always been separate from TV), Wollongong, Sunshine Coast, Ballarat and of course Launceston which 7 has taken over.
Interestingly, the first 3 of those are still listed on SCA’s website, but Ballarat and Launceston have been removed.
The SCA website actually used to list 2 offices in Ballarat - with one being labelled “Melbourne Direct”. I’m not sure I understand what the difference was and why they couldn’t share an office.
I’ve seen that as well. I also saw a Flare Football ad on there too, I reckon I only saw that one at least once. It appears SCA still seems to be involved in events as such through sponsorship despite getting out of TV. I know SCA is still handling advertising sales through 10 O&O in aggregated markets like Wollongong but I thought SCA had fully given up on the TV side of things. I guess not yet.
Football South Coast started advertising on Network 10 at the beginning of last month with their Respect the Referee campaign.
If you’re referring to the Summer Six’s, that ad has been running since the start of July 2025. They only posted it to their Facebook on 10th July, but the ad was first seen by me going back to 1st July 2025 in the morning timeslot on 10 HD Wollongong.

There are actually still some traces of SCA still present on the now-Network 10 O&O regional stations. Same thing with WIN where traces of WIN are still seen on their now-Network 10 O&O Northern NSW stations. Example is the sponsor billboards screened which totally screams SCA, unsurprisingly also (I think) also still seen on the WIN10 stations. But at long last Network 10 has finally replaced SCA’s cheap Network 10 idents with that of the metropolitan network. So much better. Wish 10 could update the Sponsor Billboards too on those.
Yes that is the Football i was talking about.
I haven’t seen it displayed with the plus symbol, usually it was just the two logos in the same colour next to each other. I’m going to assume that Football South Coast still has some contract with SCA that’s why it’s still displayed. Maybe advertising in Listenr(or whatever)?

I think it used to be, but even the latest SCA Access promo that ran adopted the plus symbol. A few of their other spots that ran or are still running also has the plus symbol added now. The Illawarra Hawks one which is being seen regularly at the moment also has the plus symbol and even features a LiSTNR logo. The other 2 Football South Coast ads also have the plus symbol as well.

It’s near Townsville.
Actually…
Ayr is near Home Hill.
I’ve never read the FAQ page before:
Now it’s 100% accurate! ![]()
Touche. I stand corrected.
Graphics Department: “How many fonts would you like for this promo card?”
SC Ten: “Yes”
Not to mention the poor decision to place “Southern Cross” under the ten logo on screen but always refer in VO and in web site as “Southern Cross Ten”.
Always thought back then they should have just embraced it as “Ten Southern Cross” and have the ten font as well for the Southern Cross part.
As much as people will hate me saying this, but why doesnt 10 chase paid presentations to sir during the day, particularly on regionals to try and make them more profitable- like SCA did on the then 10Peach channel pre 2016 affiliation swap. Additional revenue could be filtered into new and preferably improved programming.
10 needs to do something because it is going to end ul running fifth on the main channels with their continued programming strategy.
