Yep. Does anyone remember when 9’s playout shut in the middle of the night in 2018 and it was for quite a few hours? Something like that could have happened but instead it got fixed in an hour!
Yeah. Hats off to anyone dealing with it, honestly. These scenarios are rare.
Are all their metros out of one pres room, and the regionals scattered between NPC/MediaHub?
So the issue was at the original playout (?)
Not yet. It seems it was just a glitch in the playout. Its basically the same as a radio playout system such as Zetta. Exceot for video. It just crashed and went crazy.
Im a commercial radio tech, but have friends in TV. So thats my rudementary understanding of the situation.
Yep. In Sydney
Theres a feed from network snd then its split between all parties
So all that’s left now is to wait half an hour or so and see what happens in WA.
You’d hope WA doesn’t get it and it trickles through the network again.
Agree. These situations aren’t easy to handle. Congrats to them on getting back what they did in the time they did too when they don’t have the scale and breadth of NPC or media hub to handle situations like this. They did well.
Probably nothing. As it can be corrected before it even hits there
Nick’s back! 10Play switched to an ad
April 2005 anybody
Thought Id make the call to stop all the speculation and get some facts into the situation on here. Hope it helped.
I’m assuming Nick has crashed back into an ad break or something because 10Play went back to black
Gladly appreciate your insight into one of the most chaotic evenings in a little while.
Appreciate the insight on this, certainly put the spice back into my Tuesday night.
May have been just a pre-roll or something.
The event didn’t exactly set the Internet on fire though some noticed.
What’s happened to @Channel10AU? About 30 straight ads since the news update 10 minutes ago. Has someone dozed off? #crisis

Just logged into my Panasonic recorder back home on the Sunny Coast. (Im at my holiday property in Braidwood for a few days tonight). And it seems everything normal up there.
